Hello! Although we've flown to WDW at various times of the year many times, we've never gone at Christmas time. However, we're thinking of taking a Disney cruise and spending a few days before the cruise at WDW. I was wondering if anyone would mind sharing with me what they paid for airfare over this last Christmas holiday? We'd likely leave around the 22nd or 23rd of December, would spend a few days at BLT, and we'd then take a 3 or 4 night DCL cruise. We'd fly home somewhere around the 29th of December.

Also, we fly out of Kansas City, so if there is anyone that flew out of MCI to MCO in December, I'd love to hear what you paid if you don't mind sharing.:goodvibes

This will involve several of my family members, so I just want to have a general idea of the total cost involved for all before we decide on a date. Some of my family feels the air will be a lot higher since it will be holiday time. We've flown to WDW for Thanksgiving several times and didn't find it to be higher than normal as long as we booked early. If Christmas time is too high, we'll go for the end of July.

TIA!:thumbsup2

I just did a week at Disney for Christmas and then the Dream Cruise for New Years. It was expensive. For two r/t tickets from LaGuardia to Orlando it was about $700 including taxes.

Mind you I went to Orlando in March of last year and the cost of 3 r/t tickets was $500.

So be prepared to pay a lot. But it was worth it.

Thank you for your reply. That is a lot higher!:scared1: We might have to look in to doing this trip in the following summer instead. We booked our air for our summer trip to WDW last week, and we paid more than we've ever paid for air, so I was afraid it would be even more to go at Christmas time. I watched and watched airfare for next summer just as soon as the dates were released, but it was expensive from the start. When it did drop a bit, I jumped on it, but it's still more than I wanted to spend. Thanks for your reply!

I too am curious about airfare than. We are flying out of Rochester on the 20th thru the 28th so I was hoping since it is 5 days before the flights might be a bit cheaper..
Flights have gone crazy price wise anyway... I use Yapta to watch different flights before I buy. Cant book anything for December now on Airtran anyway..

You might get more feedback about air on the Transportation board.... We also just booked our air for this August & it was a lot higher out of the DC area than it has been for many years now. :sad2: I booked our air for spring break in Sept. & we're actually paying the same amount for August!!

We're heading down 12/27 and I was pleased to find the RT airfare to be just over $300/pp. Holidays always seem to be more expensive and I think better to book early.

Thanks for all of the replies! $300 would be doable but much higher than that and I'm pretty sure my mom would flip out!:rotfl:

I kept pushing my date back. I was going to leave Christmas day but ending up leaving on 12/21. And it was cheaper leaving at night vs the first flight in the morning.
