Airfare? Does everyone have their or are you waiting?

just waiting for SWA to open up for October.........we'll be there 10/5 - 10/13....

yup - waiting on SW too. I don't really want to fly with them (didn't like my first experience last October with them) but will do it if they're significantly lower than the majors. My hope is that the majors will drop their fares when SW publishes theirs.

Right now from the Denver area it's $301 non-stop and $300 (each ticket) with a connection. That's a lot of change to lay down for 4 tickets!

I am waiting too. If I don't find cheap airfare, WDW this September is not going to happen. I am checking DING every couple of hours. :surfweb:

My friends & I couldn't afford to book through Disney. We did it through orbitz & got a--> non-stop flight there & back and the hotel at pop century from june 10-17. It was $545 for each of us. Which wasn't that bad since it's non-stop both ways. Orbitz has some good deals still :)

No point making yourself crazy. Check once a day to see if they've added September dates yet. Until then, it's not worth your time or sanity. ;)

Once the dates are added, then you can go nuts checking DING as often as you want. :thumbsup2

Have you checked with AirTran? They have very cheap tickets. Like DH and I tickets are only gonna be $82 per ticket, roundtrip comes out to be $369 total including taxes.

We got ours through Northwest at the end of January. $536 bucks total (fees included) for 4 of us! Thought I got a good deal! My parents still need to book, though. Anyone know of any good flight deals out of Oklahoma City or Dallas?

popcorn:: Im also waiting on SW for end of Aug/Sept.(PHL-MCO) I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy airtran when it was $69. ea way at least I wouldnt still be waiting.:headache:

I booked my Jetblue flight in February and right now I'm glad I did because I got them for $99 each way pp going and $109 pp each way coming home, and right now the fare is listed at $159 and $189 :scared1:

I don't know if they're going to go down the closer we get to the trip, but I'm new to booking airfare and I wasn't sure and didn't want to take a chance.

We are going Sept 8th - 14th... We booked Continental back in March even before we knew about free dining and got the tickets for $153 Round Trip, so under $80 each way, INCLUDING TAX!!! The onyl extra was the Sept 11th fee and some other surcharge... Total for the 2 tickets came to $321 bucks Roundtrip!!! Not quite sure how the fare came down that much, but it is peak fly time, Sat mid day to Friday evening!!! We are flying from CLE-MCO....
Check Continental.com if you live near a city where they have a HUB... generally they have decent fares...

I just booked three tickets on Spirit Air out of Atlantic City. I usually fly out of PHL but was thrilled with our prices. I booked $9.99 going down on Friday Sept. 21 and $95.00 returning on Sunday, September 30th. $105 round trip!!  Of course there are taxes and fees of $54. The airport is really small and nice to travel out of too.

Good luck to everyone still looking.:goodvibes

I booked over three months ago for our August trip (8-15), we were firm on the dates we wanted to go (not waiting for free dining) We got tickets from American Airlines for $138 each (including taxes & fees) flying out of Minneapolis, a SUPER deal I thought. The trip is not non-stop, but the layovers are short (St. Louis going and Miami? coming back) Tickets are over twice this price now through American and cheapest from anyone else is about $195 with Delta.
:yay:

We just booked a trip in June. We are going down from June 2-7. We booked round trip for all five of us $187. We were set with our trip in October, but with those rates we couldn't pass it up. Plus we don't have to travel up to Newark, we are Leaving out of AC. We caught the spirit!

We were waiting for a great ding(last one I saw was $34.) also but my DH found 558.40 on orbitz through delta from Pittsburgh. He just wanted to book it now.

OH I was debating wether or not to get that $9.99 flight! but it left at 6:45am and ACY is like an hour from my house so we would have had to get up at like 4am(Yikes:scared: ) with a 2 1/2 y/o not fun. I was willing to do it But my parents were like "no-way" UGGH!

We always have the kids go sleep in their travel clothes. Just get them out of bed, change a diaper if needed, and get them in the car where they usually fall back asleep. We always take an early flight. We couldn't resist the $9 dollar rate. We now live closer to AC, but did the same thing during our last trip out of Newark.

We purchased AirTran tickets from Detroit to Orlando - none stop
for 4 of us for $675.00.

We live in Cleveland and plan to drive the 2 1/2 hours to Detroit to save about $475.00!!
(At first I thought we would be saving like $300.00 but its more!)
My in laws think we are crazy but they are loaded so they dont care what they have to pay. 475.00 is a lot of money to us. I dont think the drive will be to bad. Even if we get a room for 1 night on the way home we will still save!

We usually pay 1,200.00 Continental. I figured we will spend about $50.00 on gas round trip. I came to that conclusion on the AAA ssite.

We have used AirTran in the past and havent had any problems. Ive been reading about people being told the plane is full and losing there seat. Im crossing my fingers and bought insurance.

I tried and the rate just didn't work for me. I booked my going to PBI for 39.00 and then driving to WDW but am considering flying into Tampa the night before (thursday) for 44.00 and it is somehow cheaper then when I did PBI by like 15.00 so either have to wait or take this decisions. I would have to change where I get the car from and just move it up a couple of hours.

Didn't get the return flight back.

I booked my dad and 3 other people leaving newark w/continental for 69 each way non-stop. Can't really beat that...

We are booked through Continental Frequent Flyer Miles for August 29 to Sept 4. The open dates for frequent flyer mile flights partially dictated the dates of our trip, so I booked both the trip and the flights the same day. Tickets would have been available for under $600 for all four of us, but I figured if I've got the miles, might as well use them. Especially since I'm already spending a chunk of change for the Disney trip.
