We are coming to WDW the end of August. Last year, we flew Spirit out of Atlantic City, and paid about $200 per ticket/roundtrip.

This time around, I found the same Spirit flights for $220, but we weren't really happy with Spirit and that airport is 2 hours from home.

Leaving out of Newark, I can't find anything cheaper than $318 with JetBlue.

I read that flights are usually cheaper 4-5 months out?

Suggestions?

Not sure where you are from - but if youre from northern jersey you may want to check out flights out of Stewart in Newburgh NY - you can get a roundtrip non stop for around $300...may be worth it

We are also going to WDW at the end of Aug. I had a tough time finding airfare at a decent price for our family of 4. We only fly JetBlue but from where we live can fly out of 3 different airports. Newburgh, which is 20 mins from us, and Newark and White Plains which are both about an hour away. Newark had the best prices and times. We like leaving NY early and leaving Orlando late. So, I bought the tickets out of Newark. With JetBlue, they release their prices low and then as time goes, the prices increase. Sometimes they might lower the price when it gets closer to the date of departure and if that happens they will give you a credit for a future flight. But, that doesn't always happen. FYI, we went the same time last year and this year the prices are much higher. Last year we got a good deal flying out of White Plains. Flying during the week is usually cheaper than the weekend so if your date s are flexible try flying on a Wed or Thurs. Our dates are Aug 23-31 and for 4 round trip tickets I paid $1060. It's more than I'm use to spending and more than I wanted to spend but like I said, it was the best I could find.

Thanks for your help...if I book Jet Blue today, and the prices go down say in 2 months from now, will they adjust the price or no?

I don't know if I should bite the bullet and book now because from what you are saying their prices are going to increase, or wait until 4 months out like I read online?!
:confused3

FYI, I just checked my dates (Aug. 23-31) again from all 3 airports on JetBlue and all of them have gone UP since I booked! If you are considering JetBlue, I wouldn't wait any longer to book with them.

We are in central NJ and the best option is usually out of Philadelphia. Southwest, AirTran, or US Air.

Newark is closer, but usually more expensive, so we rarely fly out of there these days. We also used Spirit out of AC in the past, but their fees are completely ridiculous.

But I have no idea where you live other than 2 hours from AC.

They won't adjust the price. What they do is issue you a credit for the amount of the difference in price to use on a future flight.

The waiting the 4 months out advice is usually for airlines other than JetBlue. They seem to do things differently. Like I said, my flight already increased by $300 from when I booked so I would book now if you want to fly with JetBlue.
