the airfare is out of site compared to previous years. Can someone share a tip or code to help! Coke code? How do I get it? The anniversary sale does not apply to my airport. The cost is double from last trip! Thanks!

The coke rewards works. You would need 100 points to get the SW discount. I also purchased SW gift cards at a discount. If you have the Target red card you can save 5%. Also can use Target gift cards to (the ones they give you for buying certain products). I purchased $250 SW gift certificates & paid $228. BJs sells them at a discount too. But SW will only allow you use 3 gift cards & the coke rewards code is only good once.

Thank you...Do you know if Target allows the Pharmacy Rewards 5% and then the Target Red Card of 5%,making it 10%? I asked them today and they didn't know

No, just the 5% from the red card these days.

I did some digging and found this description of the red card and it does look like it may be able to be combined with the 5% pharmacy rewards. Not sure how current this is but I will let you know when I go to the store. I am assuming the Disney card can be used for food and your tab?

Gift Cards

The final important advantage of the Target Red Card is that Target sells gift cards to other stores and restaurants at a 5% discount so that you can then save 5% at any number of other places. You can find my complete guide to using discounted gift cards here. As noted above, buying gift cards at the same time you use your 5% discount for pharmacy purchases means you can buy your gift cards at a 10% discount.

Here is a list of stores whose gift cards you can buy at Target:

Chipotle

Bass Pro Shops

There are also gift cards for many video games, but there are too many to mention here.

Besides not working at the pharmacy, the other place your Red Card doesn’t give you a 5% discount is when you purchase a Target gift card.

When are you going? We booked for right around $225 per person. Not going to do much better than that out of BWI. It's not worth the drive to go to DCA or IAD for us

We are going Nov 8-16. For the times we would like to go it is about $391.00.

We are going December 6 through the 13th. I did get my rates on the first day that the schedule was released, however, keep checking because when I booked our March trip I got great affairs at about four months out. After that four month mark I never saw the rates go lower than what I booked at.

Good to know! I totally missed the day that they were released. What worries me about waiting is there is already 3 sold out flights on the return trip. I am not sure if that is real or a ploy though.

Definitely check Jet Blue. We love BWI and the drive/ traffic is not worth driving over to Dulles or Reagan. Also check SW on Mondays and Tuesdays. They usually drop airfare for 24 hours on those days.

You cannot get the Pharmacy Rewards at Target on gift cards any longer. Or the team member discount. Only the 5% red card discount.

I would keep checking back. We are also flying out of BWI. When we booked our return flight it was 126, then it went to 226 for quite a while. I looked today and it's back down to 126. They also have added a lot more flights coming and going since I originally booked. Our total cost was somewhere around 275pp for Oct 24th till Nov 4th. Still hoping to get our flight to BWI a little cheaper and looking for some better times then what we have booked but if not I can live with what we have.

Bolding is mine. You might have to take flight times that aren't optimal if the flights you want are already that expensive.

Not sure if I received correct info but I went to purchase the Southwest cards today...the 5% redcard discount did not appear. The store manager said the about 2 months ago, they had to stop giving any kind of discount on all entertainment cards. No redcard, no team member discount, no pharmacy rewards. He said it was actually something government mandated. He said that Sams is the only company in the area selling them. I purchased $150.00 worth at Sams for $142.98.

You did not receive the correct information from the Team lead. The 5% Red Card discount does still apply. No just did an order on Target.com and the 5% Red Card did come off, making the $50 GC only $47.50. Of course, I am ordering in Pennsylvania, so I am not sure if your state has different rules, but PA still allows the 5% Red Card discount

Correct. My husband is a Target team lead and the 5% red card discount still applies. You just have a confused team lead.

And government mandated? That sounds like something a Disney CM might make up.

I booked our flights from BWI to MCO last week for $294pp RT. Much more than I wanted to pay and about $35 more pp than the first day that the flights were released. Our dates are Nov 8-15th. As of last Tuesday they were $537pp so when they dropped on Wednesday, I jumped on it. Glad I did because now I have full on OCD checking the flights and the return flight has already gone up over $100. I booked 2 1/2 weeks after the flights were released and there were already several return flights sold out for that day. My preferred return would have been the 5:00 flight but since it was sold out we ended up with 7:15. Not terrible because it gives us another almost full day in Disney but the flight doesn't land until 9:25. By the time we get home that night, my poor DS is not going to be happy when he has to wake up for Sunday school the next day.

I am looking for Nov 8-16th...so almost the same dates as you...Thanks for the info....I keep checking about 10 times a day. They have gone up since I started looking a week ago which is when I realized the dates were released. My bad. So far since I have been looking 2 more flights have been sold out on the return trip. I am just waiting for one more fare decrease (fingers crossed)!
