Airboat tours??

Has anyone done an Airboat Tour? Just wondering if it would be worth it, and if so which one? TIA

We just did an airboat tour with boggy creek. It was something I am glad I can say I have done, but would not do it again. We went on a cloudy cool day and so we only saw one baby gator out and about. There were a bunch of different birds we saw, and did get some pretty nature photo's. my kids said it was alright, but they did get tired of just riding in the boat after about ten min. If you were to go on a sunny warm day when there were actually gaters out that you could see it might be more interesting.

Thanks for your reply. I thought it would be fun for the kids too, but I don't think they'd get very excited about birds either. Definitely not a cheap thing to do for just an hour of entertainment, so it looks like we'll move to plan B

If you want to see gators, you must go in the very early morning...or at dusk.

I can highly recommend Spirit of the Swamp airboat tours. They are a small operation, but very professional. The cost was about $60 ea (in May 2010) and there was just the two of us on the boat - no-one else. We went into places that the other boats don't go and saw so many alligators from babies to at least 12ft.
There are reviews of them on Tripadvisor and they have a website as well. I booked on the web site and my credit card wasn't charged until the day of the tour.
From memory the boat holds 6, and as I said your party is the only one on board.
