Went to Alton Towers on Sunday & went on new ride Air.

It was brilliant very smooth & totally different to anything we'd been on before.

Also, news they are building a new hotel & water park. It looks like the water park ( under cover ) may only be for hotel guests. The adds weren't clear on this.

Bad news is that they are now charging for car parking. £2 or £5 if you want to park next to the enterance.

I missed this earlier! Thanks for the info Sue - whatever intentions they have of keeping the water park exclusive to hotel guests, I wonder if they will eventually have to open up to the general public? Unless it's weekends or holidays, they'll need the business!!

Thakn you for the car-parking fee info too - I expect all the UK theme parks will follow suit now!
