Air Tran lowered lots of flights from PHL to MCO this morning. We ended up getting $25.00 credit on all our fligths to MCO......

I saw that, too. We got roundtrip for 5 people this morning for $356 total with all taxes and fees. That was at 4AM. I would rush over and check your flights :cool1:

Absolutely. I called at 5 AM when I checked my flights. Onluy got the flight to Orlando. The one coming home stayed same and the ones for January are same also......Now I just have to hope I get a schedule change so I can switch Jan 2 to Dec. 31st without major fees...

If the fares go down for your flight, you call air tran with the information and they will credit the difference between the fare you paid and the cheaper fare to the credit card you used originally .

Is this new? As of February 2009 AirTran stopped offering a credit for a drop in fares. I did see a post on here about this going back to giving credit for fare drops as of 10/01 but nothing official.

I called back last nite to double check...the credit was put on my rewards account. The girl Saturday was wrong. They dont credit your credit card but they will credit your account for future use. Since my daughter will be in Disney for the college program starting January I can use all the credit possible since I will be back and forth alot.

If you see a lower fare call Air Tran and ask it cant hurt. As for the $75 fee yes they still charge that for a change to your flight that you make unless they changed your scheduled flight

Ahh, I see. So the $75 is for an actual flight change, not a lower fare on same flight? Good to know.

That's right. I called a couple of months ago about a lower fare. They told me the $75 fee was only for changes to my actual flight not for fare changes. And they would issue me a credit to use towards future travel.
