Air Montreal through Delta

I made my reservations though Delta last week. I got an e-mail today stating they made changes to my flight. Basically the day and time are unchanged and I am happy about that. However, my confusion comes with the changes. The flight number is changed and that is no big deal, but now, instead of the plane being operated by Freedom airlines, it is through Air Montreal.
I go to the Delta website and there is no mention of Air Montreal. Same flight that shows up on Expedia and Orbitz also says Freedom Airlines just as Delta states (at least my new flight number corresponds with what the sites have listed). I do a search for Air Montreal and there is nothing current for Air Montreal. Its like they don't exist. Anyone familiar with Air Montreal? Anyone know why my e-mail says one thing, but the websites say something different?
I will be calling for explaination, but it has had me baffled all day.

I've never heard of Air Montreal either.

There are six Delta Connection carriers. Air Montreal isn't listed.

I assume that Delta has a mistake is their system, and that your flight is actually still on Freedom Airlines.
 
We flew Delta to MCO 2 weeks ago. We also received the email about "Air Montreal". The plane said Delta and Operated by Freedom Airlines, so I never got the whole Montreal thing.
 
We called Delta and my husband spoke to a person from India. This guy did not understand what my husband was trying to tell him. My husband could not understand his thick accent. The communication was terrible. My husband told the man that he understood the reservation was supposed to say Feeedom Airlines, but it was the fact that the India guy was not understanding that there needed to be an explaination of why there was an airline on his new updated itinerary that was not supposed to be there and basically did not seem to exist and that he also needed an updated itinerary with correct info. The guy just did not understand. So, my husband told him that he was sorry if it offended him, but he needed to speak to an AMERICAN whos first language is English. The guy got rude and told him that person would just tell him the same thing. My husband just said that would be ok, he still wanted to talk to an American whos first language was english. So, after about a 5 minute wait, the requested person answered the phone. This person was completely puzzled and even said she had not heard of this airline. She sent us a new e-mail stating the correct updated info. Something the guy refused to do or understand. My husband also apologized to the woman if requesting her upset the other man, but the communication was terrible and the guy just was not understanding the situation. The lady said don't worry about it. She did not understand him either.

Air Montreal has nothing to do with Delta and the lady could not understand how such a mistake got in the computer system.
