Air Miles Universal Studios Tickets - Adding a Day or Specials?

I am getting our Universal tickets through Air Miles - 2 day park-to-park passes and wondered if we can add a third day if we need to the tickets when we are there? Is adding on a day cheaper than buying a one day ticket?

Also, I know 3 years ago when I got my US tickets through Air Miles they had a special at the time where I got 3 day park-to-park passes for the same points as 2. I know if you buy tickets right now you can get 3 days for the price of 2. Does anyone know if this type of special still happens with Air Miles?

We did this in January with no issues. We went to customer service just inside the park gate the last day before we left. They were very helpful. We chose to upgrade to the annual pass. We could have added the third day for free as they had a buy 2 days get the third free for Canadians at that time.

I think the special you are referring to related to what Universal had on at the time. Based on our experience even if Air Miles does not have it if Universal does you can upgrade. The specials relate to when you use the ticket and are generally offered during low seasons.

Thanks so much for your help! We are going at the beginning of October - maybe there will be another special by then. Do you know if I would just have to pay the difference between the 2 day and the 3 day pass to add on another day? It doesn't seem like a huge difference if that is the case. Do you know if I would have to add on the 3rd day before we use the tickets or if we haven't done everything we want to in two days then at the end of the second day we can add on a third day?

Just the difference. It is not much.

We added at the end of the last valid day before we left the park. You definitely do not need to add before you use. You do need to add before the end of the last day.
