Just wondering if Air Miles ever has a "sale" on park tickets to DL or WDW. I know they sometimes discount the points required for different kinds of merchandise or at least they use to. I haven't redeemed any of my miles lately so I wasn't sure. My trip is in September so I can wait a while before ordering my tickets.

TIA :goodvibes

Yes! I saw this last summer! I can't remember exactly when, but DW tix were discounted by around 200 points each (although I could be mistaken on the exact number... but they were definetley "on sale")

I was hoping to take advantage of this promo last summer, but was waiting for them to correct my account (long story... but they sent reward vouchers to the wrong address... and I was waiting for the account to be credited -- it was eventually sorted out)

I wasn't able to take advantage of the promo as I was short reward miles, but I recently ordered a five-day base ticket for the "regular" price. It didn't take long to arrive - maybe 2 weeks.

Bookmark the site -- who knows -- you could be lucky!

I was under the impression (and I think I read it hereon the Dis once) that whatever the promo is that Disneyland has going on that Airmiles sometimes offers it too. So for example, the deal that op is talking about was equivilent to the special Disneyland had running last spring which was adult ticket for child's price. This year, you can get the 3 day hoppers for the price of non hoppers and that is what Airmiles is offering. I am not sure though, I could be wrong...

a couple years ago we ended up getting our disney tickets on sale. They were like a previous poster said about 200ish off. We have been watching for a while waiting this time, but nothing yet and nothing the last time we redeemed. Would love to wait as we have to points but we just redeemed today for 2 adult...halfway to a child so this time, we are just wanting to get them..

Ok sounds like I'll have to keep an eye on the site :) But if anyone else sees them go "on sale" please post here.

PM - I had my Airmiles account hacked last year and all of my points were taken. When I called CS, they kept asking if I had moved address when I insisted my address was wrong. Yeah I just moved and forgot about it. My points got put back but it took them about 2 months. What a pain!

I'll be watching too.

How far in advance should you order park tickets? If you want to add options can that only be done when you go to the parks?

Golden -- I'm not sure if you can add options at the park. I'd call AirMiles directly to ask your questions. I only needed a 5-day base ticket, so I'm happy with what I received.

When I ordered, it took less than the 3 weeks they said it would take -- maybe 9 business days?

I also wanted to add that when this whole kerfuffle happened with AM needing to credit my account, I was checking quite often if the tix were still "on sale" and they definetley were for a good 2 weeks -- if that helps. Keep checking every couple of days...

My issues with AirMiles took months to resolve -- they were good about it, but a lot of mistakes were made (I won't bore you with the long, boring details :lmao:) -- I"d suggest when you sit down to order them online, just make sure you are not distracted (read: no kids yodling in the backround LOL!), take your time, and double-check your address, etc.. It should be a simple process and the tickets should be delivered quickly.

As far as shipping goes-I paid extra to have my DL tix sent Purolator so that if they got lost I could track them etc. I looked at it this way-it cost me 10% of what it would have cost me if I had bought them staight out and I had the peace of mind that they were not floating around in Canada Post somewhere. Last year when I redeemed for a Universal ticket I did it early enough (like months before) so that I didnt need to worry too much and had them send them in the mail. I think I had them within a week. So the bottom line is you can pay them to have it sent via courier.
