HI Disney Fans,

Two questions here.

Air miles- I have read that some of you have used Air Miles for park passes. Where do you use your Air Miles card and how hard is it to amount Air Miles to transfer into park tickets? For example, does simply using Air Miles for gas, groceries and whatever else provide enough to trade in for park tickets for your family? How hard is it to accure enough Air Miles on a yearly basis to use for park tickets?

CAA- anyone have good experience with getting discounts at Disney through their CAA membership? Has it been good value? Any experiences you can share is appreciated!

Thanks everyone!

We accumulate around 15,000-20,000 Airimiles a year. Either we book flights and WDW passes or book with Marlin travel and redeem for vouchers to pay off the package.

As to how to get them -

-Safeway - many of the stores have Extreme Air Mile events - spent $200 get 300 AM for example. Phone 1-800 Safeway to find out where.
-buy AM specials out of the weekly flyer
-paid $90 a year for the BMO Mastercard which give us 1 AM for every $15. We charge everything on here from monthly insurance premiums to toilet paper. Easily earn 300-400 AM a month.
-Safeway has a weekly FB and email coupons that often have AM offers
-check out the AM thread here on the DIS

As for CAA you can get a discount by booking with them. However it's not usually the best deal.

Safeway gives out that many airmiles??? I hope Metro here in Ontario is paying attention! I'd love to have that privlege.

OP - CAA card discounts aren't often that great. If you're getting a CAA membership, make sure it's worth it for your car because 5% here and there might not add up to the initial cost.

Yep. I can get 500-700 Airmiles in one grocery buy when they are doing the extreme events.
