Hi,
Anyone know how well a twin size air mattress would fit into BCV studio ? Not trying to squeeze 5th person in, but rather my 16 year old son prefers a bed to himself....and well, this would be the only way he would get one. His other options would be share bed with my husband or his 11 year old sister. Thanks.

There might be room in the entryway where the microwave and sink are located.
(Isn't it a shame that you have to justify bringing an air mattress with four times as many words as your actual question? :) )

Thanks Horizons---was wondering if that area was wide enough.
And....I know what you mean.....just didn't want any flames or debates. It's just a simple "innocent" question....I've got no hidden agenda ! lol
Thanks again........................

Isn't the bathroom on the other side of the entry way? Hope for your son everyone has a good bladder!!

LOL....yes, it is....to my knowledge, but I was hoping for a few inches of space to walk by the mattress perhaps ? Anywhere else in that studio I could place the air mattress do you think ? (Hey....I know....I'll put him out on the balcony !) ;)
I can go with the larger OKW studio (we do love it there), but this trip my kids wanted to hang at SAB for awhile. Maybe it's just not doable.............thanks

With the sofa bed out the coffee table is already set aside. If you move the other table and two chairs out of the way the mattress will probably fit at the foot of the sofa bed.

I don't know if one of the kids would do this, but don't open the sofa bed, try sleeping just on the couch, then there should be enough room!

There was a similar thread on thsi recntly. I was told either a full or a queen aero , can't recall which, woudl fit EXACTLY into the space by the door in a studio at BCV. (There's that little square space where we put our luggage.)

Or you could do what we're doing. DD 5 refuses to sleep on pull out bed, since she scraped her leg last year. So, we'll bring two twin air mattresses(I have a DS 2 1/2). I'm hopeful they'll fit in front of the couch and we'll just have to move the table. This is our first time in a studio, so we'll see how it works. It also helps, no fighting as to who gets to sleep on the floor!!

Relax and do not worry,

We placed a queen sized aerobed between the sofabed and bed in a BCV studio. We had to push the furniture a bit, but we did not block the bathroom and all worked out fine, you never would have known we slept that way after we picked up in the am.

A twin will be perfect and easy matter of fact, I will be investing in one for the same reasons as you. Teenage sons like to sleep alone.

(we had borrowed the queen it was a bit much)

This is a good idea. When we stayed (just 3 of us) we moved the coffee table between the pullout and the wall (by the balcony) and had lots of room.

Take a look at some of these pics

Where do you store the air mattress during the day? I assume you prop it against a wall, but is one wall more out of the way than another? Or do you deflate it each time? We'll be staying in a 1-bdrm, but I'm interested in studio info. as well

We'll be taking ours along for our first trip home, but I've told my girls that they must make an attempt to sleep together on the sofa bed before we break out the air bed!

Hey MiaSRN - We used to live in Lansdale (Chatham Village) when we were first married!

If its one of the new aero beds, just deflate and put away. I love that thing!!! We used in in Myrtle beach for our 3 year old, we were trying to get him out of our bed, but new he wouldn't sleep with his sis and cousin in a different room, so we set it up each night and it worked great!!

Aero bed-in-a-bag always works. We took a queen size and it fit with a little work. :smooth:

I'm a little puzzled but how do you fit in a queen size aerobed AND an opened sleeper sofa?

I could be wrong but I vaguely recall lots of room in the vanity area and by the front door.

Hi Natt....this is so cool ! Small world, huh :D

Thanks to all who responded to my original post ! I feel so much more at ease with the whole air mattress thing. BTW, the suggestion from ClarabelleCow was interesting also......anyone know how long the sofa bed is for someone to stretch out and sleep on it ?
Thanks again for all the suggestions and tips.
