Air mattress in vgf

Good day all.

We own at vgf and stay in studios. My youngest typically sleeps in the Murphy bed and my oldest the sofa bed. My youngest suggested that we get an air mattress for her as she recently slept on one at a friend's house and she found it very comfortable. More so than the Murphy bed. Does anyone know if a twin air matresss would fit in the studio at the end of the pull out sofa if we laid it perpendicular to the sofa bed? I know I would have to move the furniture in that area but I don't know if that space would be large enough. I don't have the room dimensions handy but I don't believe that I would be able to lay one out anywhere else in the room.

Thanks in advance to anyone who may assist!

You can probably move the "coffee table" to in front of the television (since the Murphy bed will be up. Then there should be enough room at the end of the sleeper sofa for your twin sized air bed. As long as no one is going to go out to the balcony while she is sleeping.

Thank you both! I did consider a topper but as I understand it, they don't always have them available. I think I will try the air mattress and see how that works.

Let us know how it works. We are making a trip next year in May and have looked at several Studios with our preferred layout having the third Murphy bed for one of our kids to sleep on. We may not end up at one of those resorts and would be looking to bring along an air mattress.

We put a kid on an air mattress in the hallway by the door or in the sink area. She thought it was really funny to sleep in the bathroom. With the pocket doors closed, that left the toilet/bathtub open as well as the kitchenette sink to wash hands.

I have a surprising comfortable and durable backpacking air mattress that I am looking to pack for our January trip to AKV. That way if the older kid thinks the sleeper sofa is too uncomfortable there will be an option for him....

This is where we put our kid also. There's a lot of room and it's still easy to get to the bathroom. But, you have to be in for the night, it does block the door.

3 options with the existing room layout:
1) Don't fold down the murphy bed, but place the air mattress on the floor where the murphy bed would be.
2) Do fold down the murphy bed. Put the air mattress on top of the murphy bed
3) Do fold down the murphy bed. remove the mattress from the murphy bed, and place the air mattress on the murphy bed.

If you buy a new air mattress/air bed in a cardboard box, don't use a knife to open it up the first time. Brand new air bed with a hole in it when we needed it for a bed. Dang.
