Hi Everyone! I'm planning a trip for May from Logan Airport in Boston to Orlando! I wanted to start this thread so we can all look out for deals out of Boston! I was completely bummed last week because round trip non stop airfare dipped to $163 per person and I didn't jump on it and now it's up to $248!!! This will be a great place to post about sales and limited time deals!

If your not actually in Boston I would highly recomend including Manchester airport - I got $59 each way on SW. Plus, it's easier to drive into and cost less to park. Granted there are less choices of airlines and as I said, if you live in Boston driving to NH probably doesn't make sense - I live on the north shore and it's about 40-50 minutes to either so....

I've been checking every day for April 13-14th '07 airfares out of Boston, Providence, Hartford and Manchester, into Orlando and Tampa using Kayak and Mobissimo travel. The best I've seen so far is $280 round trip on Midwest Express by way of Milwaukee or Kansas City. We might be driving...again in April '07.
Good Luck All,
Joe

Just joining the thread. I too missed the great Delta price.

Subscribing...will be looking for June 07.

just fyi...we opened sovereign bank acounts for each of our kids and got free companion vouchers (mailed in for them). Once I get the vouchers I will go online and check out more details.

I suggest signing up for Travelocity's fare watcher. It will email you fare changes.

Wow That's really cheap! I don't think Southwest has anything available in May yet but I will check it out! I live about 15 minutes north of Boston, But driving a lil longer might be worth the cheap air fare!

I think it would be worth it. Less hassle, better experience.

Another North Shore girl waiting for SW to open up schedule. We are waiting for February.

If you have a rental car...don't forget to check out other Florida airports. We booked for Feb. PResiden'ts Week nonstop for $229 by going JetBlue down direct to Orlando ($119) and then home direct from Ft. Lauderdale on the 24th - for $89 a ticket. Surprisingly, the rental car was actually a little less picking up in MCO and dropping off in FLL. (we are visiting family in FLL at the end so this works out great.) But if you were considering driving anyway, it might be worth driving a little in Fl to get to a cheaper airport.

Try PBI, FLL, as well as Miami. A 2-3 hour ride is easier than a 24 hour drive from Boston if that's what you might be considering.

Also...Kayak had pretty good rates, but they did not come up with the JetBlue Airtran combo I got for $229....so be sure to check the airline sites directly.

Good luck.

Southwest's fares are not as good any more as they used to be unless you get a Ding.

They wont have airfare for May 07 yet and wouldn't until January Febuary I think. Maybe December (ask Santa for SW Gift certificates!)- in any case you can easilly figure out when they will post it on this site or the SW.com one.

Mind you, I didn't get the $59 right away. I acutally paid about $250 round trip when they first came out for August but then about a month later they had a sale - now I have roughly $225 in credit with them. Which actually works because my bro has just anounced he is pregnet - or well not him :rotfl2: but you get them point.

it's nice that they will give you the credit to use later!

Tampa is about an Hour to hour and half from orlando (easy drive too) and SW, United, Delta, Jetblue, etc fly into it so you might want to check there as well...
