My family of 5 (including 3 small children), will be travelling to WDW for the first time in July. I'm concerned about the heat, and have chosen some QS and TS that we would love to try, however if they are all outside it may influence some of my choices. Could you please help me, by advising if they are air conditioned or outside?
MK - The Plaza Restaurant, Tony's Town Square, Peco Bills
HS - Mama Melrose
Epcot - Via Napoli, Sunshine Seasons, Les Halles Boulangerie
AK - Yak & Yeti (QS), Flame Tree BBQ

I believe the only outdoor location on your list is Yak & Yeti - it's just a serving window, with a bunch of shaded tables. The others are all indoors, with a/c! Pecos Bills can be on the warm side due to the open doors, but it's manageable.

I agree with the responses you've been given. Animal Kingdom can be a special kind of uncomfortable----my family calls very very hot weather "Animal Kingdom Hot"----and I recommend going to a TS there to really relax and cool off. Tusker House gets great reviews.

Thank you - that's a great tip!

My personal favorite place to cool off for a meal in MK is The Columbia Harbor House, tucked in right by the transition from Frontierland to Fantasyland. A/C and often no problems to find a table. :goodvibes

An often forgotten and overlooked gem in MK. Plus you're in a prime spot to stake out a great spot for the parade!

While not bad advice, there are indoor CS restaurants in AK, if that is what the OP wants. Both Restauantosaurus and Pizzafari are air conditioned. We still prefer Flame Tree. I think he covered pavilions have fans going, but I can't remember for sure, and there's sometimes a nice breeze in the one down by the water.

We love Flame Tree BBQ, and they have lots of nice quiet outdoor seating, but like others have said, it's all outdoors, although it is shaded. But when it's hot, or raining (or cold, like it sometimes is in January!) we usually opt for Pizzafari, they have tons of indoor seating.

We go to Tusker House for the air conditioning in AK. It's a fun place to eat too, so we never mind. It's hard to find air in AK - in every other park, there are a lot of indoor eating options, plus a lot of shops, so it's very easy to cool off.

On a side note but on the topic of staying cool. I just bought a cooling towel. The brand is Alfamo on Amazon for 10.00. I am hoping to use to beat the heat on our upcoming trip. It works great!! You wet it, wring it out. I wear like a scarf and if really hot out and Im really hot it last about 30 minutes. You then take it off..snap in the air and boom..cool again. even has a little plastic sleeve and carabiner that hook to you if you like..so there ya go..take your own A.C. mobile ! :)

We use the pocket sized Misty Mates. They are available for about $5 at Walgreens and work great to keep us cool.
