Just read in another thread that the air condition at SSR turns off at night
We will be going for the first time in JUNE. This will definetely affect us in a bad way. Could anyone tell me how to deal with it?
If I call will they disable the turn off or do I have to do it myself? If so How?

Thank you!!!! :thanks:

We were there in December, and while I know there is a way to turn off the motion detector (that turns the AC on/off) no one in my party could figure it out! I called maintance, they were there in minutes and they bypassed the system. We were cool and comfy the entire trip (well, when we were in the room!) and never came "home" to a stuffy villa.

On our last visit in Feb. we couldn't figure out how to keep the temp in the room under control. We would set it for 72 at night and wake up sweating to death! Our in laws had their own studio and said they were freezing and couldn't get any heat!? We also had a noisy air conditioner that made a knocking/ratteling sound like someone was trying to get in our room - all night!!! But I was sick most of the trip and up all night anyway - so it didn't really bother me!!! GRRR

If you have a problem & for some reason can't get maintenance to override the system, try tying a helium balloon to a chair near the thermostat. The motion from the balloon floating will be enough to fool the sensor.
