Has anyone else booked through ACV and had ticket/booking problems?
I booked my January trip in November, I have been trying to get my itinerary/tickets/passes from them. They are supposed to be available at their Mississauga office 10 days before my trip. I'm now 6 days away and after :confused3 3 days and countless hours on hold, I'm not able to get my hands on any of my travel info till my day of departure - AT THE AIRPORT!!
Does this seem unreasonable to anyone else? I couldn't book ME because I didn't have any confirmation numbers... I also wanted to pre-fill out my forms for travelling out of country.... can't without my itinerary booking number. I'm so frustrated. I guarantee my next booking for the world will be through Disney directly!!! Grumpy in Aurora.
I will need a double shot of pixie dust the minute i land in Orlando!!!! :earsgirl:

Double shot, coming up! :wizard: :wizard:

OK..try calling AC themselves (you won't be able to get any of your hotel pkg info, obviously), but if you have your flight number, your name, and some other info that you personally can supply, they should be able to give you your *booking reference* number for your flights. That way, it will be MUCH easier when you call to confirm your flights. You'll also be able to give them your passport information, personal contact info, and destination contact - or you can do that online, too - save a little time at the airport.

Next, you should be able to call your Disney resort and confirm your reservation with them for your dates, and then set up your ME info..

That is terrible customer service, and you shouldn't have to do any of this stuff yourself.. I'd be angry too..and I would put pen to paper and write a few letters right now, before you leave.

Why can't the office courier the info to your house? You're going to have to be at the airport extra early to make sure everything is on order.

Uuggghh.

Think of it this way - you've got all the hassles over and done with at the beginning - from here on out, smooth sailing:):)

Does that help a little? :teeth:

Let us know how everything turns out!

:sunny:

WOW... I don't blame you for being grumpy! That's terrible customer service and I agree... get writing now before you live the magic!

Good luck. I'm sure everything will turn out fine.

Thanks MBB and highland3, I needed to vent. I never thought of calling Air Canada directly, but its worth a shot. I am running my mantra through my head... this will not ruin my vacation...this will not ruin my vacation....this will not ruin my vacation.
thanks for the double shot. Tink has a way with her doesn't she?

Be sure to mention that you couldn't book a complimentary transfer to your hotel because of this. They should pay for your tranfer. I would really push this. I can't believe they treated you like this. Very bad!!!

Hi you wonderful DIS helpers! I was able to get through to air canada (in about 10 seconds) and get my info after about 3 minutes of discussion. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I'm now booked with ME, and I have filled out my pre approval forms online for our trip. I LOVE THIS BOARD!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:
Proof that Pixie dust works!!!!

Glad to hear everything worked out!

The power of the pixie is undeniable!!!!! :wizard: ;)
