Air Canada questions

We typically fly WJ to Orlando (as we can get direct on seat sales) but we have also flown AC. I have flown AC with both of my kids alone as well. I have gate checked our stroller each time on both airlines without a problem. I have used my Single BOB and also the Double BOB depending on where we were going. It isn't an umbrella stroller and is 'larger' but I have never had an issue.

Good luck on your trip!

If we are not driving down we usually fly out of Buffalo. Last time we flew Southwest for $189 return each. We stayed at a hotel the night before right next to the airport. We got continental breakfast, shuttle to the airport and they let us park our car for free while we were away. Another plus was we were allowed 2 suitcases each. Although, who knows, that might have changed.

We've never flown on AC or WJ on our trips to Orlando. We find that the US carriers have cheaper flights and have better flight schedules for us. Also for us, flying on a US carrier, we clear US customs here in Edmonton. With AC or WJ, we would need to stop in either Calgary or Toronto/Ottawa, gather our luggage and go through US customs there, then re-check our luggage. While we're all for supporting Canadian businesses, the hassle of another stop-over isn't worth it for us, especially when we can get cheaper flights and better flight schedules with a US carrier. YMMV

I agree completely.

I've read that the direct WJ flight from Edmonton to Orlando actually clears customs at MCO as the YEG one is not open when the flight leaves.

We also like the US airlines when flying to WDW. We've done the United ones connecting in Denver (not through Chicago-ever-just don't) several times. Lately we've been flying Continental, connecting in Houston which is nice in winter because once you depart, you're free of winter weather, which might cause connection delays.

Typically we grab the first flights out and arrive in late afternoon.

Sorry for the thread drift.:)
