We booked a flight from Toronto to Orlando on Sunday. $79 going to Orlando and $119 coming back. Today I see it is $79 both ways. Does anyone know if AC will credit me the difference? $40 x 4 is alot of $$$.

I don't thinks so:confused3 .

I think you would have to cancel your flight and rebook. The cancel fees might be more than the $40/ticket.

Ok, when are you going and what days of the week are you flying on?!?! I never though Air Canada got that cheap!

Although we aren't planning on going until late August early September, we are planning on flying on weekdays (a Monday and Tuesday) and staying over a weekend - I get prices in the $230/person range EACH WAY on TANGO!

A $79 one way rate is a fairly decent one on one of the discount (AirTran, Spirit, etc.) airlines out of Detroit!

April 1 to April 7. Good Luck. The price dropped this afternoon. Also, I called AC and held FOREVER and did find out that I can't get a credit without paying the $40 change fee. Bummer.

Nice! I'd just be a little cautious about the price - it might be an April Fools Joke... :rolleyes1

Seriously though, great rate... sorry they wouldn't refund though. But aren't you still saving $120 after paying the $40 fee - that's better than nothing.

We're about equal distance from Detroit or Toronto, so we'll fly out of Detroit. So far, we've found...

  1. Cheaper fares in general (and Southwest, with their DINGS are now offering directs from DTW to MCO - DINGS have gone as low as $49 each way - with Canadian virtually at par, its a no brainer.
  2. The drive is easier! Seriously, I have found driving to DTW has far fewer traffic slowdowns than going to Pearson.
  3. Flying out of the U.S. to Disney - at the moment, still no Passport since we'll be driving over the border (it will change soon, I know).
  4. Additional to the above, depending on the airline (if we use AirTran rather than Southwest), you can get the "resort" airline check-in and stuff that comes with Magical Express passengers flying within the U.S.
Now, if I do get an Air Canada or WestJet for less than what I will have to pay on AirTran or Southwest (we figure the maximum will be $74 each way), I'll go out of Pearson.

The change fee would be applied to each ticket.

Sadly, we cannot drive to buffalo as we are actually flying from winnipeg ( where we live). I used my airmiles to get me to toronto ( to visit my sister) and then we found a good price to orlando so decided to take the kids to WDW for our spring break! ( sister and baby included) so the money I was going to shop with in toronto is now re budgeted. I just love how WDW is able to vacuum up all of my disposible income.

Is that the price PLUS the taxes? or total costs including taxes...I can't believe that awesome price!!

I just went to Air Canada site and that price is without taxes! (see below)with them it is $292.00 return per person...I was getting worried 'cause I booked out of Detroit but my costs were $189.00 US total.

Still not bad for Air Canada!
