Air Canada and strollers

I have heard a lot about them not letting you use your stroller up to boarding the plane, but on the web site it says you can use it right up to boarding and then they take it and store it and give it back to you as you exit the plane, so that would mean as long as it folds small like an umbrella type I wont have to check it with my luggage right? Please help me figure it out Im in the process of purchacing a new stroller as our umbrella one bit the dust and I want to make sure I buy one that is suitable to take on our trip.

Im looking at 3 possible ones

Cossato hula travel stroller, it has a UVA cover that goes over the whole front of the stroller I really like that, reular umbrella type fold, seems long to me

Quinny Zapp this one folds super small and had a bag, but seamed a bit complicated to fold down.

Maclaren Tryumph, I saw someone selling a second hand excellent condition one for $100, looks simple enough with an umbrella type fold.

so which would you buy? anyone have any of them pros ? cons?
your exsperence with taking your stroller to the plane?

I've only flown once with my daughter, but they let me keep her stroller right until we boarded. They took it with all the other "sky check" bags - you know the "carry ons" that are too big to actually be carried on but people don't want to put in checked baggage? It was easy. I haven't heard any problems with doing that - were there other posters complaining that it wasn't the case? I hope not, because I'm not planning on hauling my 2-year-old around the airport without it!

As for strollers, we have the MacLaren Triumph and LOVE it!!! It was the one we bought to follow the Graco monstrosity travel system stroller that took up my whole trunk. The wheels are so smooth and it handles quite nicely. It also collapses really easily and has a shoulder strap. So, when you do collapse the stroller, you can put it over your shoulder.

Friends of ours who just came back from Disney bought a Triumph right before the trip to replace their old stroller that also "bit the dust". They loved it as well. Both my husband and I are short, so we never noticed, but my friend's husband is taller and said that the handles were a good height for him. Again, that's second-hand information that I can't vouch for.

She also mentioned that they had really rainy weather when they were there and the plastic cover that comes with the Triumph worked wonderfully. It was left outside during a rainstorm while they ate dinner, and she said the seat was still totally dry.

Sorry, but I don't have any other experience with the other strollers, so I can't compare. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Triumph. And $100 is a pretty good deal.
