Ahoy! Sailing the Wonder 2/8/09

Well we just got back from a weekend up in WIS Dells for some indoor waterpark fun. Now its time to get into cruise mode. Just finished all of my on line check in. We are in stateroom 8026 which appears to be inbetween the forward and mid ship elevators on the left side of boat. Is anyone familar with this area as location to everything. Going today to do some warm weather shopping as my 3 year old daughter must of had a growth spurt as nothing frm last summer fits her. Well we are on the countdown. Besides packing onlything needed to do is wait and change the oil in the car. Hoping for a day above freezing so I can get it done.

Just back from Target to finish up my FE gifts and pick up some last minute stuff.

If you plan on doing laundry, Target has packets of Tide, All, and Downey liquids for .97 in the travel products section next to the pharmacy aisle. Each Tide and Downey packet is for one load and the All bottles said it had enough for 2 loads.

Just a heads for anyone who is looking for an easy (and cheap!) way to do laundry.

I am religiously checking the weather channel for Cape Canaveral and Nassau (can't find Castaway Cay on there). The temps have been GREAT! High 70's the next few days. I hope that does not change. Our high today was "20 but feels like 13".

Just got back from shopping. We didn't find anything!!! I am no closer, actually the shopping list is growing as fast as my DS! I tried to get my 14 DD to make what I call an "OCD" list. I wanted her write down EXACTLY what she still needs. IE: black dress shoes, tan tank top.... She refused. Says she will not be ocd like her mother. I told her the "OCD" could stand for Other Clothes Desired!!! Oh well on to the pic of the day.

I can't believe I missed seeing our ship on Home Makeover!!! It snowed all day in Plain City, OH -- another 4 inches of snow added to the 5 inches we already had!! Plain City is about 15 miles nw of Columbus, so those of you coming here next weekend -- dress warm! Temps here have been in the teens and single digits at night (50 degrees 2 days ago) so I really can't wait to feel warm weather again. 5 days until we hit the road This next week is going to be in hyperdrive for me all my packing, cleaning and getting the van ready for the trip...

Loved the map on Castaway Cay. Its neat to see where it is located in relation to the other islands. I am going to try to research the temps in the others places around it too. Another thing to be OCD about. Hope I don't jinx it.

I heard my husband telling my son about watching Extreme Makeover. I yelled at him for not telling me about it. I'm going to try to pull it up online.

Finally got my signature going a little bit. Will add all my disney visits soon. Have to try to remember all the places we stayed. I'm starting to feel like a pro!

I'm with you guys on the "feeling warm weather again " thing. It's been so long since I've even seen the grass under the snow! My mom was in Orlando all last week on business and said it was "chilly" until yesterday when she left! It's 8 degrees this morning in Chicago. I am getting a pedicure the day before we leave and I fully intend to show it!! Never mind the pale white legs they are connected to I hope we have lots of warm
I think our OCD is perfectly normal by the way when our family says "mom! I need..." and we hand it to them who will be the hero then? hmm?

We are looking at getting 6 inches of snow in the next 2 days. I cannot wait to get into the Bahamas and on the boat. 12 more days 12 more days until we are in PC and 13 until the boat!!!

you could give yourself a pedicure... we can ALL have pretty toes in the Bahamas (well except the guys of course-sorry boys!) you can admire our pretty toes that will look fabulous surrounded by sand!

I'm in a training class at work this week and the instructor has all his cruise pictures as his screensaver. So all day (and all week apparently) I get to look at beach and cruise pictures as it is 14 degrees outside and snowing. Its time to go!!!!!!

So here is a stupid girl question for ya. How long will that mani pedi last you. I have ever only gotten one. I HATED it, and ripped the nails off before the event. I even did my own nails for my wedding. I wanted to get a french manicure with my own nails ( no tips) and take my daughter to get her toes done. I was going to go on like the 5th. But If I can go sooner I would love to go this weekend.
So I guess I'm wondering if my nails will still look cute a week later.
