Ahoy! Sailing the Wonder 2/8/09

Well hello all! Life has been to busy to see straight, but I have been checking in every so often. Our weather has been crazy! we were near 70 last Friday and woke up to snow flurries Monday. By the weekend, we should be near 80! :cool1:
We have still not decided when to book our bounceback yet. I was trying to see that it would not interfere with school, but that looks like a lost cause at this point. :confused3 DH his trouble getting holidays off, so we may just have to close our eyes and point to the calendar. Whenever we go, I KNOW we will have a great time.
Tracy, please take the kiddos to WDW if they have never been. I love it, but am so OCD and Type A that I'm a "Disney Drill Sgt." and like to be at the park that opens first, at good seats for most every parade and fireworks, etc., HOWEVER, there is just something "magical" about the Magic Kingdom that you can get nowhere else in the world! I love the way I feel when I walk through the gates:tinker:

ljm23: best wishes with the IVF. I hope all goes well for your whole family!

I hate that someone couldn't contact my TA. I hope I sent the email address correctly. Pam is usually SUPER quick to respond at all hours. Nonetheless, I'm glad that you were able to make your plans otherwise.

I'm sure we'll have more later. I hope you all have a great week!

2gr8brits. My wife ljm23 is not having an IVF. She was the one who couldn't contact your TA. PM her if you want to know the details.

After our Feb. cruise we stayed at the Beach Club for four days. We are huge WDW fans and this was like our 13th WDW visit in 9 years or so. For now the three of us agreed that cruising is what we want to stick with. :thumbsup2

Started a Nov. 12th cruise thread. Irish Cowboy hasn't added it to the main list yet. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2106615

Good luck to everyone with whatever dates you pick for your bounceback. Annette and Mike....see ya in November! :cool1:

oops - very sorry. Apparently the weather has me a little crazy too. Sorry for any damages caused.

Hello Everyone!
Yes it's true! Come and join us if you can! Or stop by the Nov.12th thread Mike started ( IF it ever gets added- still waiting popcorn:: ) and say hello! This bounceback deal is just too good to pass up:woohoo:
It was so much fun getting to know all of you and sharing the anticipation of this cruise with you!

2gr8brits: Thats awesome!!!

Those that rebooked - Do you mind me asking what the cost was with taxes and fees for a family of 4?

Our deposit was $400. Pam (my TA) told me that the balance will only be taxes, etc. She also said that the "official bounceback" cruise dates have not been set, but the DCL rep she talked with did not give her any indication that our date was not one of them and she had done that on another resiv she tried to make for another customer.

Hey Tracey....so are ya thinking about it?? Cmon...Michael would totally love to see Nick again!! November 12th sounds like a perfect 3 day to me....LOL!! :thumbsup2

This may seem belated, but if we booked onboard for a bounceback qualifying cruise, and it was booked before the deadline, can we get a voucher too? Or did we have to rebook? We are sailing 3/21 and I noticed it was one of those qualifying cruises. We booked this cruise while onboard our last cruise in June, so I wasn't sure.

If I understand what you are asking, when you cruise on 3/21, you will recieve a voucher to use when you book another cruise. That new cruise will be $99 a person for a 3 night cruise. The voucher goes into effect on 4/6 for cruises between 8/14-12/31 (I think) You can book the new 3 night cruise now, pay your deposit and once 4/6 rolls around, apply the voucher to yout trip. I hope this is clear and did not confuse you further.:flower3:

Hey everyone...just a little heads up for anyone who might be interested... we (me and ljm23), Anetnmike and Elmo2200 are going on the Nov. 12th bounceback. Cmon peeps...join us!! :lmao:

Holla!! How cool! we just booked for the SAME one!! Our first two choices weren't available. First choice-dry dock for fall break, then 2nd choice was Labor Day weekend-not on the BBoffer, so Veterans weekend it is! The kids are supposed to have half day school/parent teacher confrences so they weren't going to miss much, but now there are no more half days allowed so I am not really sure how that will work out.

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't been around...work has been keeping me busy.

I just sent my TA the 11/12 date for the bounceback so I'll keep you posted. I was going to do my birthday 10/25 but its a little close to drydock and I would miss you guys!!!! I'll let you know if I get it booked.

fasttrakphil - Haven't seen you around in a while!!!! I had to look back to see who you were! Congrats on your future bookings. I see you are doing several more DCL. How was it doing Disney and RCCL? How does RCCL compare? Thanks

They are both very enjoyable yet very different. I would not hesitate to do RCCL again. We were on a Freedom Class ship and did enjoy the extra amenities that go along with it. I will continue to do both in the future but will do more DCL as the wife and I are total Disney nuts. We have the OCT. 16 2010 Western booked and plan on doing the Wonder Panama Canal cruise also. Then maybe we will try the RCCL Oasis or Allure of The Seas.............
