Ahoy! Sailing the Wonder 2/8/09

Ok, we got home last night. We had such a great time for our first DCL cruise! My 4yr old cried all Thurs morning not wanting to leave the boat. We did rebook for a 5 night next year! So, we have that to look forward to and I am keeping mental notes on what to do differently. Hope you all had safe trips home. and I hope this thread goes a bit longer too. If I remember correctly, there were several going to the parks afterward.

ok, sorry we did not get to meet up with you guys, alot of first time cruising experiences and time just got away from us. We didn't get into the radisson til late. Nice room and great transportation service. The reason we got there late we visited my mom she lives inthe villages and then went to downtown disney and ate at the T rex restaurant.

Trip was great but we all ended up getting the head cold and cough that seemed to be going sround the ship. We had a great room, 8026 although all the beds where way to hard except for the main queen bed. we never got a DVC magnet on our door, but no biggie I went to there event and won a blanket. We snorkeled on Castaway Cay and had a great time, and played bingo one night, although I shouldn't say played we watched the computer device do all the work. We missed toy story and Bolt 3d, golden mickeys was ok, but Disney Dreams was fantastic! We had a great server Judy and she made us laugh. Jayson on room steward was great also. We did go to the magic kingdom on Thursday tila bout 4 then drove straight thru til we got home around 12 12:30 yesterday. I am still exhausted, and even worse have to work this wekend, Yuck!.

I am sure we passed many of you through out the ship, after going back and looking at the thread, Elmo I think we parked next to each other in the radisson parking lot, and you asked me if I was someone when we where walking to the shuttle the day we left. I never put two and two together til I got home on the thread and saw the texas plates and volkswagen. I will post up some pics in a day or so.

Once agian I hope everyone had a great trip, and safe travels back home. Now to decide when we are going back for the 3 day bounceback offer.

still on the road home. We left rlando on Ffriday afternoon and drove throught the night, taking our time and shopping here there and everywhere. Currently we are in snowy Clarksburg West Virginia. We are about a good 9 hour run to home.......
had a blast on the ship. We booked our 5th cruise for a 7 day western at the end of Oct and will book that $99 3 day cruise for sometim in Aug or early Sept.
I sat in the restauraunt tonight and waited for our dinning team to show up.... they didnt show up......

Hey guys! I'm still at WDW....leaving tomorrow. Just had dinner at Narcoose's with......Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and Suri!!!!!!! I was literally 2 tables away. Then when I left, I went to the ladies room where Katie and Suri were in the stall next to mine. As I was washing my hands, Katie told me I had cute shoes. I can die a happy woman now. I've been in love with Tom for 25 years (OMG, I am old!)

We got home late last night after a couple days in Savannah, GA.

Looking forward to writing a trip report and working on putting pictures and video together.

Not looking forward to unpacking.

Wow Jill, you are really rolling in the high circles now. Did you say anything back to Katie? Suri is so cute. Was she well behaved? Lots of questions!

I wanted to thank everyone for the FE's. We had so much fun discovering them and are still enjoying all the goodies. Haven't tried the grits yet but they are on the menu for tomorrow evening.

Kelly, please tell Franchesca that Avery has a magnet for her too but we didn't know your cabin #. We would love to mail it to her if you would PM your address.

This was a wonderful trip for us even though the grandkids refused to go to the kid's clubs. Oh well, we really spent some quality time with them. I think Ken and I are going to go by ourselves on the $99 cruise though. There were a lot of adult things we wanted to try.

So! DH has told me that he is actually considering the $99 bounceback in the fall after dry dock. It did help that Laura and Mike had him half way talked into it too! ( Thanks guys ) I am so happy! I really didn't think he would even consider another cruise this year. The whole $99 thing is really really cheap! Anyone else thinking about it?
We had so much fun on this trip. We realy loved all the excellent FE stuff too. You guys are awesome!
What did everyone do that they enjoyed and would do again if they had the chance? Anything cool in Naussau?

We are doing the bounce back. Not sure if we are taking kids or not. Dec. 11 will be our 10 year anniversary, so we are thinking of just the 2 of us. We will have to see if anyone will take our heathens!

of course me the ever planning vacation husband and dad. I have looked at some dates already. Thinking of staying at vero beach from sept 5th til the 10th and then cruising on the 10th til the 13th.

There are alot of variables yet to be worked out, but the wheels are already spinning in my head.

There is NO way Katie is preggers as tight as her jeans were. Suri is a doll and extremely well behaved. Tom played with her the whole time. I just Katie that Suri was beautiful. I was rather at a loss for words...and I was worried Security was going to kick me out.

we are in a similar situation. we booked a 7 day eastern for the end of october, and am going to book the $99 3 day some time in august or sept......on the 3 day, we are taking all our kids, so it depends on the $ figures.....

when my daughter was at one of her many spa appointments... ...the attendant told her that there was someone famous on the cruise. She didnt say who, but said it was a female and to keep her eyes open for her on the see day. My daughter never saw anyone famous, atleast didnt recognize anyone famous. Any idea whom?
