Ahoy November 12th, 2009 Cruisers!!

We are trying late seating this time. We felt a little rushed with the early seating, so we will see what happens this time.

I thought we'd be able to bring my sister along on our cruise in November with the Bounce Back deal, but I guess the offer is only good on the original number of people on the first reservation. So we can't take her.

I wish there was some way around this! You'd think DCL would WANT her money! She's willing to give it to them!

Did your original cabin only hold 3 people - is that why you couldn't add a fourth? My original cruise was a cat.8 w/ one person and I am bringing 4 with me on this cruise.

Looking forward to the cruise and hoping to upgrade when I get to the port, I've only every had a max of 2 people in a cabin, so I'm a little worried about 4 to a room.

Yep - that is exactly the problem and they won't allow me to upgrade.

We have first dinner but have prior arrangements in place.
Obviously your tablemates the first time were very strange and had issues. I would say the odds of that happening again are not good. I have friends who specificallly enjoy the experience of meeting new people at dinner and prefer not to link ressies with people they know because they look forward to that. I think that is awesome. So you never know. You may end up with someone that your DS has made buddies with in the Kids club or someone around his age. Then you would really have it made!

I agree with Annette Harmony, don't sweat it. We're the kind who like to leave it to chance. It's great meeting people on these boards and then seeing them on the ship so we think we can add to that by meeting someone else new as dinner companions. We've done this twice and both times had a great time.

Harmony ~ Don't get a complex DH and I would have loved to have sat w/you if we were at first seating....but alas...we aren't. It sounds like you got a bum family last time but I am predicting you will love who you sit w/this time. And if you get another bogus family pack the three of you up and move over to late seating...we will make room for you

I'd like to switch to late seating - simply because we had it last time and I am used to planning my day according to it. To be honest, I'm a little worried about having the early dinner...doesn't seem like there is much time in the afternoon...

That's kinda how we felt about it...we had to leave CC early enough for all of us to shower and get dressed for dinner at 5:45. We felt rushed. I loved being on CC, but it did cool off quickly, so I wasn't too disappointed that we had to leave early. But 5 people and 1 shower...yuck. That was nuts!

Hey all...I just had a thought...if the Wonder holds to the schedule from last year we should be seeing some Christmas Decorations on this cruise
After doing some searching last year the decorations went up on 11/9 on the Wonder I would LOVE to see the terminal and the ship decorated.
