Ahoy November 12th, 2009 Cruisers!!

I have been lurking for awhile. Very excited. Will be traveling with Me (Tina), DH, DD8 and DS5. This will be our 2nd cruise. Bounce back from March 09.

Love Karaoke but do not sing. I will come and support.

"DCL Rookie" I live in Minnesota too.

Mike, thanks for the encouragement.. today is day 3. I have definitely found muscles I didn't know I had! Now if I could only get the "portion control" issue down. Made a Rachael Ray pasta dish last night, with whole wheat pasta, but ate way too much of it. I am going to try to remember that today when I am dying at the end my time on that eliptical machine!!

To catch up, we are doing a meet 'n greet and fish extender exchange....you are more than welcome to join...the more the merrier.

We did not do excursions. In St. Thomas did our own cab to a beach. CC everything was cancelled because of wind. We did rent bikes and played on the beach all day it was great.

We would love to join the meet and greet and the FE. Tell me what I need to do. I can't pm yet.

Gagamouse ~ I am facilitating the FE exchange. I am going to send you a PM with my e-mail address. Send me a list of name of all cruisers and ages of the kids. Also send me your cabin number if you know it. At the end of September/beginning of October I am going to be sending out a final list of all participants.

I also believe, someone jump in here if I am wrong, the meet is at 3pm by the Goofy Pool.

Hi Kris!
The Bounceback is a deal that Disney ran briefly last winter around Dec-Feb I believe. (ours was Feb 4-8). Anyway, if you were on one of the cruises then they gave you a 3 day "bounceback" voucher to be used anytime between August and early Dec. The bouceback offer had a special price attached to it. So all of us who are "bouncing back" had cruised some point during that time frame,recieved that voucher and are using it for this trip.

It is windy on CC(usually).... just wondering about biking, my youngest only weighs 48 lbs? Also, if I request bikes now on my reservaton but then change my mind, am I still charged??? thanks!

As far as cancelling reservations for anything on the ship, excrusions, dinner ressies, etc., I think you have until 24 hours prior.

I wouldn't worry about reserving bikes in advance. They are not going to run out...there are tons there! That way you can judge how you guys feel that day. I've also heard that the CM's don't pay any attention to how long you are *actually* gone so they just charge you for the hour or so. Again, this is hearsay so YMMV.

I also read that, with the paddleboats and such, as long as there aren't people waiting. Think I will just wait till that day. We were thinking of doing the paddleboats too and you can't even preregister for them. Thanks.

I have a question about something you guys were talking about back a few pages. Sorry... I would like to know how it works to rent someones DVC points. We will be coming in a day early cruise and I would love to do this. Just don't know where to start or how to do it. Thanks to any help.

Harmony and I both did this. It went really smooth and ended up being cheaper than staying at a value resort. I think Harmony contacted someone directly (she has a list of people who commonly rent out points). I posted a reservation wanted ad on the DVC rent/trade thread and someone responded within a day. When I rented OKW and AKV were available.
