Hello to everyone.
O.k so here is the situation.
We want to start planning our next trip down.
We have been just twice. May 2006 (very hot but good for star wars weekends) and January 2007 (very nice high 70's swam every day!) and now want to plan again.
I was thinking Nov. after american thanksgiving but I'm already thinking that will come and go so soon and then I still have a longgggg winter ahead of me. I also thought maybe dec. for xmas decorations but still the winter issue.
My husband said Feb, but I don't think the weather will be any better than January and I know we just got very lucky this january with good weather.
SO,,my other thought is April. I think Easter is end of March and then I thought we could go after that, I want to spend 10days this time instead of just a week.
Anyone have a suggestion or can anyone persuade me when is the best time to go. I love CBR but realize if we go in the new year we wouldn't stay there because of the pool issue.
I hear the pool/slide at Yacht club/Beach club is nice. Also I am interested in CSR.
I guess I should check out old "deals" or "codes" and see what time is the best so we can stay longer at a better resort for less money....you know everyones dream!!:cloud9:
Ideas???:hippie:

Dec is going to be busy. After thanksgiving until New Years is packed, one of the worst times of the year to go! So I'd rule that out right away.

January and February are good for low crowds, but it will be COLD! Generally jeans and a sweatshirt during the day, with some sort of jacket for the evenings. I don't know about you, but thats not how I like to enjoy my Disneyworld!

April will be warmer and you can get away with lighter clothing, but again, this is Spring break and the parks will be packed again!

My vote is for November. Thats when Im going this year. It seems as if it will have perfect weather for shorts and a shirt, with even the possibility to swim during the days. Also low crowds the first two weeks. And, if you go the first week of Nov, you can still catch the Food and Wine fest at Epcot, or if you go the second week, you can do the Xmas party.

Choices, choices...good luck! :thumbsup2

Seriously!!
I was thining it was quiet from after thanksgiving until mid-december?
I also thought that mid-April was quieter...isn't march break done by then?
I thought most kids were done school in May so that April there wouldn't be any holidays other than easter??
Well, I wouldn't be able to go until after American Thanksgiving if we went in November.
I guess we really hit good weather in January ...we wore capris', shorts and swam every day this year. We would never get that lucky again I am sure.
Ah....crap. :scared:
Thanks for your advice.:)

You have certainly covered different price points and crowd levels.

I would go November or February. The holidays and April are crowded and more expensive times to go.

We went the week of Christmas and while we had a great time I would never do it again.

10 days in Nov or Feb would be fun, lower crowds and depending on dates I'm pretty sure value season. If you can't swim you could still get in the hot tub!

The weather can be iffy but you might hit some days of the 10 days where it's warm.

If I did not have a child in high school I would go at low times too. When we went last September he was in private school and it was no problem.

Our public high school does not allow any make up work for family vacations nor would I consider it considering my ds' personality.

Whenever you go it's Disney and it will be great!

Mid Nov is our favorite time to go!!!! Holiday decorations are going up, crowds are lower, weather is very nice!!!! This is always my favorite time to be at WDW.

You might want to consider the various seasons (cost-wise) in addition to crowd levels. After New Year's until about mid-February is Value Season. The room cost will jump up to Peak Season until after Easter. Also, after Thanksgiving (the American Thanksgiving) until just before Christmas is also Value Season. We actually had no problem with crowd levels on either of our early December trips.

And it's believed that the Pirate & Princess Parties will resume late next January, so take that into consideration as well.

Actually the beginning of Dec is PERFECT! we went Dec 9-16 and it was FANTASTIC! no lines.. perfect weather and decorated for Christmas.. and the Very Merry Christmas party. it was the perfect time to go.. we are going again for a mini 3 day trip the sun-wed before Thanksgiving this year.. and I don't think its going to be as crowded as it will be the weekend after Thanksgiving.. but the next time we plan a major week long trip... it will be in the beginning of December.. AWESOME time to go! :thumbsup2

I must be going to another Disney World in Orlando cause going the first two weeks of December is the BEST time to go!

Great weather, decorated for Christmas and hardly any lines at all. We go this time a lot and will be going this year from Dec 8th to Dec 16th.

Best Wishes!

Late November after Thanksgiving week it should slow down for a couple of weeks ( We went last year during Thanksgiving week and the crowds were awful and finding a place to eat if you didnt have res was impossible. I have never been in Jan/Feb but I hear both Jan and Feb have low crowd factor but I am not real sure on the weather.

I love to go in February! I've almost always had great weather (shorts and tees during the day, pants and light jacket after dark) - plenty warm most days for swimming. Maybe I've just been lucky year after year. :)

I'm trying Jan. for 12 nights this coming year. I know the weather varies during Jan., but that's OK.

FWIW, I went the week after Thanksgiving this last year, and I loved the small crowds. It was plenty warm, although it did rain here and there. The Christmas decorations were all up, and they're always fabulous! I'm hoping to go down that week in '08 again.

Best wishes as you decide!
