Ahhhh...what do I do now????

We leave in 12 days & the only thing that we have received is our original paperwork with booking numbers, flight info, etc. This is all from December! Well...I just called the travel agent (National Leisure Group Vacations through Wal-Mart) and was informed that these are the papers that I would need. I asked about the ME luggage tags and they said that they don't send anything except the original paperwork. A Disney rep would meet us at the airport & take care of things from there. When I told them that I should be receiving ME luggage tags to put on my luggage before leaving my my home airport, the t.a. said that this must be something new b/c they never send anything!!!! Of course, it is after regular business hours, so I'm hoping to call tomorrow & find out better info from someone! I also mentioned to her that my flight had already been changed at least once, so why didn't someone from the ta contact me to let me know that? She informed me that it is my duty to check all flight info ahead of time. Wow! Looks like I could've booked the trip without their help & had things go smoother!

Anyways...I am going to call again in the morning & insist that they express mail my ME luggage tags to me. Is there anything else that I ought to ask them for? What's the best way to make sure that everything's taken care of? Thanks!

Without the luggage tags you can still ride the bus they just ask you to either provide a detailed description of your bags or to pick up your bags yourself. I would call ME directly to see if you are listed on the bus (866) 599-0951. If the travel agent doesn't know about ME you might even be on the bus.

Thats why I don't use TA's

Now most here on the board are Disney enthusist and VERY GOOD at their job .

But I like the controll of my trip and with a TA you are under them for all the booking.

You won't get your ME tags in time .But don't worry .

Take your Airline bag check stubs to the ME desk and they will still pull your bags just as if the tags were on them.

What you need to do is CALL ME and make sure your booked.If thet (TA ) didn't know I'm sure they didn't book it for you.

Again don't worry everything should work out . After all you are going to Disney.
 
I didn't get my ME tickets until just about 7-10 days before the trip. But I would still call to make sure they have your info. I usually book everything myself as I like to have control. At least then if the airline reschedules our flight (which they did twice on my last trip), I get the email notification.
 

You also need a voucher to get on the ME bus. I was surprised at how careful they checked/scanned our vouchers last September before letting us on at the airport.
 
I would not use any TA except the sponsor of the DIS boards. Not just because they are a sponsor but because they really know what they are doing and there are an awful lot of TAs who really don't.
