I am so upset. I have over 100 pounds to loose.... :scared1:
I went to WW. I have stayed on the diet or eating plan whatever you want to call it for 6 days..Ok stop laughing I know 6 days is only a drop in the bucket. I stepped on the scale this morning and BAM 3 pounds.. I GAINED 3 pounds!
I went over the list of things I ate..over and over..I even put the list back together after I tore it up stepped on it and threw it all over the room.. I am within my points.. As far as I feel..TIRED I am sooooo tired... HELP ME :guilty:

(((HUGS))) flaykpuff -- hang in there -- i'm very proud of you for turning to your WISH family to get through this!

i didn't laugh at all, i have trouble following WW points for more than three days in a row. two years ago I did without even thinking -- the plan works, it really does. give it a chance before tossing it.

i sorta understand, i lost 25 lbs two years ago on WW - and regained 10 lbs over the past year not following it. i sympathize with you on the long road ahead, as much as I can understand where you are at..........try to focus on the first 10%, mini-goal your way to your final goal. YOU CAN DO THIS!

as far as the gaining question -- i'm wondering if it's your metabolism being confused, maybe you weren't eating enough and now that you are your metabolisms first response is too store energy/calories/fat --- the starvation mode. do you think you have your metabolism out of whack? it may take a few weeks for it to realize there is no need to live in the starvation mode anymore

hang in there -- you'll find LOTS of support here!

flakypuff  This happened to my niece when she had her first WI with WW's. Her leader said that you can atually gain weight while your body is getting used to the changes and you're getting familiar with the programme. I also do WW's my first week I lost 14lbs, then the second week I didn't do anything differently and put 4lbs on! :confused3 The thing is to keep going, don't give up! Have you been drinking plenty of water? That can make a big difference!

Don't give up! Way to go on the first 6 days!!! Are you coming up on TOM? I gain around 5 pounds the week before. You may want to track weight vatiation over a month just to see what you body will do on its own. Keep up the great work!

Don't give up! Some bodies just need a little more time! I do not lose much weight at all each week...in fact, I'm lucky if I lose a lb. It's just my body! Don't stop! :)

This has sometimes happened to me. It's unbelievably frustrating at the time, but looking back, it's just the ups and downs of watching one's weight.

:wave2:

Thanks everyone. You are all so sweet...hmmm that reminds me I haven't had a hot fudge sundae today :rotfl: Just kidding.
I am trying to hang in there. I have increased my water.
Also, I think a few of you are right because I feel like I am eating more now but of better foods.. I know I should start exercise now but honestly...everything is rubbing :bitelip: I have gone in the pool this week and it was a little easier to move around. Boy..you are all so great. Here I am a perfect stranger and I feel so loved :grouphug:

Are you eating ENOUGH? There was a man at my last WW group that gained his first week and was really upset. In talking to the group, it was discovered that he wasn't eating up to his points level everyday because he thought that he would lose faster! He added points to his total each day and lost 5 pounds the next week! Your body naturally wants to hang on to the weight for survival. It takes a while to retrain your body and let it know that you are trying to kill it!! Stick with it...you will soon be able to tell a huge difference. I started one of the WISH journals and it has really helped. You get lots and LOTS of support there. Good luck!! :flower:

I am eating to my points level. I didn't use any of the xtra 35 points yet so I did today..I used 4 of them because I was hungry.
I am a little embaressed to say I have 30 points. I guess that is the 1 good thing about having so much to loose because you get more points. I just don't know how others do it.. All I think about is food..what I can have, when I can have it. I feel like it is a drug. I know I can have anything..but what I really want is a huge bowl of spagetti and meatballs with lots of romano grated cheese :goodvibes I am hungry all the time...I think thats why I was so upset that the scale moved up because I dont know what else to do except starve and honestly I can't do it..oh Ive even tried that and boy that can cause major pigging out pirate:
I haven't gotten on the scale again and don't plan to until Monday.. :hourglass

It took me FOREVER to get used to living on less food. Your body will adjust, but sadly, it won't happen overnight! You seem to have a lot of will power, so you will do great. Don't give up. Give yourself time to get adjusted and you will be amazed at how much better you feel!! :flower:

Thanks.
I know there will be no quick fix overnight...sadly.
I go weigh in on Monday.. It is kind of scarey...
I am so afraid of going the wrong way..but I am going to try hard.
I also think maybe I should call my DR. he might be able to
give me some help... :teacher:
If you don't mind me asking..how much did you loose?

At my first weight in, I was 168 pounds. At 4 ft 11 in, that's a lot!! I got all the way down to 122, and decided that I could continue on my own. Big mistake. When I started back about 6 months later, I had gained up to 139. Now I am doing it alone, but I am keeping a WISH journal and I seem to be heading in the right direction again!! You are going to do great. Just keep swimming... :fish:

Flakypuff, you hang in there and don't give up! I just joined WW on Tuesday and found out I have between 80-100 pounds to lose. I don't know if I can do this or not but I am trying! This is my first post on the WISH board, I am looking for anything to help me at this point. I have frequently had weeks where I did "good" only to gain. It could be water, hormones or if you have been exercising you could have gained some muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat remember. Just keep on track and don't give up and I won't either! Also, try to avoid weighing yourself except at WW. My friend who has lost tons on WW told me to throw out my scale!

Hi Flakypuff,

Hang in there. WW's does work. My suggestion is to try using ALL of your 35 flex points this week and see what happens. They are there to use. I usually use all of mine and all my AP's (exercise points). Your body may be trying to hang on to extra water and weight if it thinks your trying to starve it. You may just need more than the Target amount.
