I've gone to Disney World a few times in the past but only did Epcot and Disney World. I decided to splurge and booked a room at the Yacht club for 4 nights with the 3 table dining package. Since I will not be eating 3 meals a day I am booking reservations at a few of the dining locations that use up 2 meals a day.

What is recommended for a couple in their late 20's and no children in late October. I am trying to book now since I am sure a lot of reservations have been made well before this day (there were only two available on the day i wanted on October 27th for Cinderella's). That may be the only character dining I may want since a lot of the other ones are probably better suited for the younger crowd.

Right in the Boardwalk/BC/YC area, there are Yachtsman Steakhouse and Flying Fish, both excellent. I had arguably the best meal I have had at Disney at Flying Fish last month. Can I argue with myself? Maybe not arguably, then...

The other restaurants that are tops on my list are Citricos at the Grand Floridian and Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

All of those are 2TS "signature" meals. Although we took our daughters to Flying Fish with us this time, these restaurants tend to skew toward couples more than do other restaurants from what I've seen.

Enjoy!

We were a couple in our late 20's/early 30's (we now have a baby girl so our dining will change slightly) and always enjoyed Yatchsman's at the Yacht club resort and California Grill in the contemporary. They have incredible food and service.

While DH and I are not doing the luau this time, we really enjoyed it on our last visit. If you're a drinker, beer and wine are included and they would bring a new one before the old one was even half done. Thank goodness for Disney transportation!

When going as a couple, we tended to do late dinners either preceded by, or followed by cocktails somewhere. (Or both).:rotfl:

The places we preferred were:

At the GF: Mizner's for a Single Malt after dining at either Cirtico's or Victoria & Albert's;

At the CR: Outer Rim and dinner at California Grill, followed by a glass of wine at the bar there;

At the Poly: A cocktail at the Barefoot Pool Bar just before the fireworks;

At the Swan/Dolphin: Dinner at bluezoo or Kimono's;

At the Boardwalk area: Drinks at Il Mulino and dinner at Flying Fish (or Il Mulino);

At the Yacht Club: Yachtsman Steakhouse and drinks at the Ale and Compass.

Those are just some of the things we would do to remind ourselves that we were adults!

Artist Point, California Grill, Jiko, Citrico's, Flying Fish, Narcoossee's, & Yachtsman are all great signature restaurants that require 2 TS credits. If i went to disney without children, these are the restaurants i'd be booking!!!

Shula's & Victoria & Alberts are also signature, but I dont think theyre on the dining plan.

None of the restaurants at the Swan or Dolphin are on the dining plan. V&A's is also not on the plan.

OP, I'm 27 and my girlfriend is 24, we don't have kids and still love character meals. Don't shy away from them. One of the all around better character meals is not too far from you (Cape May at the Beach Club). If we were to be on DxDP for 4 nights we would probably do a character meal every morning (1900 PF, TH and CM being the other 3 I would suggest) and signature meal every night (using the snack credits to get us from one meal to another).

Some of our favorite signatures have been Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk (then head to Jelly Rolls after for a night of drinking and singing), Jiko (AKL is a really beautiful resort, have an after dinner drink and either sit by the fire pit or look out over the savanahs), Citricos ties FF as far as best signature food, Cali Grill has good sushi and a great view of Wishes.

The menu's do change often, but if you go to a site like allears.net, you will get a pretty good idea of what types of dishes the different restaurants offer. :thumbsup2

OP DH and I always do an early breakfast at CP and have done so since in our mid-30s.(a dozen or so years ago;)) We like walking an almost empty Main Street (& getting good photos)and the it's fun to watch the charachters do their thing.Depending on the time of the ADR we are usually out around rope drop or shortly afterwards.:thumbsup2.
We also do a couple of lunches to break up the day.Chef de France & Rose and Crown in Epcot and Mama Melrose in DHS
are among our usual stops (unless of course it is a Saturdays in the Fall when we stop in the ESPN Club)

We are also a couple w/o kids and we really enjoy the Cape May Buffet at Beach Club - really yummy seafood esp. if you like crablegs.

We also like -
San Angel Inn
Artist Point
Tusker House
Sanaa

Le Cellier is in Epcot and is good, but not worth 2TS IMO...but maybe worth a try. The Hoop Dee Doo is a fun time and you get beer and sangria with it...yummo! Jiko is our fave and I've heard great things about Yachtsman. The Luau is nice...we liked it, but a lot of folks don't. Artist Point is much loved, but we weren't too thrilled with it.
