Ahhh! Just discovered digital scrappin! Pics here!

These are really neat! Only question: how do they print? Do you print the entire page, or all of the components and then assemble? I wonder how much ink you would burn through. Definately faster and very eye catching!

Yes, you print the entire page.. (Well, i do.. i am doing 8x11" lo's) But, i also have a 12x12" Epson printer.. I personally can't see spending $5 a LO to have a 12x12" printed from an outside source ( it's honestly just not feasible for me right now).. So, for now, i am going to stick with 8x11 - or i am actually in the process of creating a landscape LO to see how i like that size (11x8).. However, i find that remarkably -- it really doesn't use much ink. I get the Premium Glossy photo paper.. Which avg. out to less than $0.75 per sheet.. And to be honest, i usally only scrap 1-2 photos per LO anyway. And i very RARELY do two page LO's! :rotfl: (Unless i am scrapping Disney!) ;)

Now-- about being "faster".. ha.. not right now it's not.. there is SOOO much to learn!! But, i gotta tell ya......... i am so lovin' it!!
Where can you go and spend about $5 on a whole kit - papers, embellishments, alphabets, etc.. and have it match, and be able to use it again and again and again?!
And, no messy clean up!! :lmao:

Seriously though-- to me, the prices of embellishments are getting crazy.. so i think this is a great alternative. Now, i am thinking sometime this spring - or summer.. i want to get a nice epson scanner - then i can scan my nice pattern paper i buy into my computer, and use it again and again!!

Ok, here's todays last.. this one is a landscape size (11"x8.5), my first. It's kinda hard to tell where the lo ends..but the whole background is white..;)
Ok.. off to bed.

BTW--EVERYTHING used on this LO was downloaded for FREE (Can't do THAT with paper scrappin)!! (Except my dd!! LOL):)

Well, here's my todays..lol.. This might be the only one i get done today - it's my dd's bday (6)! And once she gets home from school - it will have to be all about her!! ;) princess: So, off to Chuck E Cheese! :scared: :lmao:

Where did you download this kit??? LOVE the page!

Your pages look nice.

One thing I learned after doing a few pages was to keep track of my products used and keep a credits list as I use them. If you post on any of the digi scrap forums and use their galleries, it is proper etiquette to credit the designers that you've used. So now, while I scrap, I keep notepad open and write down each thing I've used as I used it, since going back later can be really hard, once you've downloaded a ton of things.

There are different organization systems, some people keep things by kit so the kits stay together, but I keep all my like items together, like all tags are in it's own folder, all backgrounds (sorted by color groups), etc. Then I note the file names I use and run a search for the file name in my backup zips and it finds the zip file it came from and most of them include TOS and website info. If you keep them by kit or designer, it will be easier to get that info.

Suzann, That kit was free from 2peas, www.twopeasinabucket.com it was designed by Rhonna Farrer. It was last april's free kit.. but it is still there to download! :)

Thanks for the tips Fran! I just started to organize all my stuff.. as it is becoming a daunting task! LOL, and i am trying to rename the folders for easy finding, but keeping the kit preview sheets with the designers name so i know who's it is..

Stac,
These are just too cute!!!! You are doing a great job on them!!!! Just wanted to let you know that!!!! :thumbsup2

Ok, here's one more for today.. i lied! LOL ;)

Thanks so much for the input! Your pages look fantastic. :goodvibes

I think your pages are fantastic! Grea job and thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for sharing

Great pages

Love your pages!! I cannot get into digital... I just got my scrap room set up LOL

The new pages look great!

One tip I just learned that I think is good: if you're using software that allows you to use layers, like Photoshop & PS Elements, have one text layer where you type all your designer credits, and keep the visibility of it turned off. So, when you save your file, the info is there, but you won't see it in the LO.

BTW, I love the spot color you did on the one pic of your daughter in the Sorcerer's hat. :) Good job! It really makes her pop out of the picture.

That's a good idea! I'll have to try that.. I have been trying to jot it down as i am doing them.. or saving the site/creators name in my file. This is the hardest part i have found-- trying to organize all this mess! LOL :lmao: I've downloaded so much, my computer must be ready to explode (I am not normally a downloading fool! LOL)

As for the spot coloring -- i didn't realize how easy that was!! I read a tutorial on 2peas, and did it step by step.. it just happened she was wearing the exact colors that i wanted to do the paper with!!
And i can't wait to play with your papers more --- you really do such a nice job, and there is such a lack of WDW stuff for digiscrappers!! Can i make a request?? ;) (and feel free to tell me if i am out of line!!) What about a "pirate" set........ I can't find a darn thing for pirates! LOL :rolleyes1 Seriously, i am not at the point or even close that i am attempting to create my own stuff, but you got that talent girl!! :woohoo:

Sure, you can make a request. :) I've been trying to formulate pirate stuff in my head and figuring out how I'm going to do it. I've been thinking about it for a while; the first attempt at something pirate-y is the "Pirate-In-Training" stamp that I put in the Stamped Sayings set a couple of days ago. I'd like to get ahold of a skull & crossbones that I can use. There's not one native to PSE and I try very hard not to use other's work in order to avoid copyright issues. I'll probably have to create one from scratch, which is a scary thought! :rotfl2:

Here's a link to a pirate kit - http://www.digitalscrapbookpages.com/digitals/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3700. There's another one out there somewhere but I don't remember where. If I come across it, I'll let you know.

All these pages are great! I just got into digital scrapping a few months ago and I'm lovin' it. I've decided to use digital for our 2005 cruise. Yes, I'm just starting it a year and half later! I'll post my pages when I get a few more done.

Seebee, THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH for those dream trip corners!! And the stamp kit!!!! wow!! Seriously --- there is such a lack of WDW scrap digi stuff, and you totally rock for doing it!! I can't wait to see what other great things you come up with!! again, THANK YOU!!

And Sheila, please do post lo's when you get them done!! I am so glad i found digital now, so that when i go on my DCL cruise this year i can do my whole album digi too!!!

oh.........seebee......................LOL.......... did i hear a cruise magic vacation??!!!!!!! LOL JK... ;)

Your pages are FANTASTIC!! I haven't tried any digi scrapping yet, but these are amazing! I love the MGM one! That background is awesome. Great job!!
