Ahhh, fun on day 5 (Knotts)

Again, don't know if I should be posting this here, so will make it quick!
Went to Knotts today.
It was different then DL, so that was a nice change.
One day is more then enough.

The chicken Dinner at Mrs. Knotts was awesome!

The rides were OK, hubby enjoyed the big roller coasters.
Has a neat ambience to it, but seems to be very un-organized, the way it is laid out. Very big too.
There was a Christmas craft fair going on, bought some cute folk art wood things for only 50 cents each.

It is an OK place to spend a day. ......

But--it is no Disneyland.

The employees attitudes can't measure up.
The organization in line ups and stuff isn't up to par.
The cleanliness is a huge huge difference. I saw lots of gum, garbage, graffiti, and stuff you just don't see at DL.

The kids had fun panning for gold. We missed the stunt show, so were bummed out about that. I didn't have a schedule, so had no idea when things were going on. When I asked an employee about it, she said that I should have recieved one in my park map. I didn't. And I didn't know I should have one.

It was overall a good day, bought some jam for my grandma!!

Back to DL tomorrow, can't wait!!

I remember panning for gold as a four year old , way way back when ! (1965) It is nice to know some things stay the same!Knots does have some great coasters.

Ya, it was cute.
We paid $5 for each child. They panned, then got a little vile with the water and 4-5 gold chips in it. (very tiny gold chips)
Cute souveneir, something you don't get to do often!!

Knott's definately has its merits.
The pan for gold, log ride, stagecoach and chicken dinner are some things that come to mind. I remember as a child of about 10 being dropped off with my sister by my parents for the day with $5. It was more than enough to enjoy the day back in the 60's. Those were much safer and simpler times....ahhhh. Today, I also really like Ghost Rider. The park is really big and you are right that it is no DL in comparison to cleanliness and employees. Glad your family had a good time though
