I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO! We are going for a "babymoon" in sept for 7 days. We are staying polynesian club level. Right now we have 2 ADR set up, no dining plan. DB said he wants to sit down to eat at least once a day...and doesn't want to do DQSP. I am going to be 6 months pregnant when we arrive...DB eats a lot as he is 6'4 and got a metabolism like crazy. It's just US 2 going...( well 2 1/2)...

I don't know what to do! I know i definately want to book a dining plan...I just don't know which one. We are the type of people who like flexibility, no time constraints, but with some planning involved...

Since the parks close earlier than summer months, etc. i figure we will have time to at least sit down and eat at night. ( keeping in mind we also are staying Club level...so we have that added benefit of snacks).

I've NEVER done a dining plan at all. I want to make more ADR's but don't want to do it till i am final on what plan i want. Please please help!!!! I need all the advice i can get! :)

Since your DB doesn't want the QSDP plan that leaves either the DDP or the DxDDP.

The DDP gives you 1 snack, 1 CS and 1 TS meal a day.

The DDP gives you 2 snacks and 3 meal credits (can be used as CS or TS) plus appetizer for lunch & dinner, and refillable mugs.

For flexability, minimum time constraints, a bit of planning, being at club level, and a DB who wants to have a sit down meal at least once a day - I would suggest the DDP. That way you can schedule 1 sit-down meal a day and use the CS meal whenever and where-ever you wish!

Or if you want 2 TS meals a day (ie, breakfast & dinner), than perhaps look at the DxDDP.

If you get the Deluxe dining plan, you will need to make up to three ADR's per day. This takes a LOT of hours out of your touring time plus you really will need to plan pretty much every hour of your day.

We've always found the regular dining plan to be plenty of food and you will have the added snacks available too. It offers more flexibility as you only need to plan one table-service meal per day.

The downside to the dining plan is that you really should have ADR's lined up for every day, especially since you seem to be going during Free Dining. Many many places will have signs posted saying, "No walk-up's available." Now, this is not to say you won't find availability ANYWHERE, but you'll either be spending a lot of time searching for somewhere to eat, or you will have to take whatever the concierge can get for you, and that may not be the most convenient location or cuisine that you like. A good strategy would be to have ADR's lined up before you go so at least you'll have a backup plan, then see what you can get if you want to change things up while you're there. You can always cancel your old ADR's as long as they weren't held with a credit card (CRT, Fantasmic dinner package, Spirit of Aloha, etc.) with no penalty.

And finally, remember: September is brutally HOT AND HUMID. That's a real appetite-killer for most folks, even big guys with speedy metabolisms.

You should do the regular DDP. If you like flexibility, then you definitely shouldn't do the deluxe DDP. Your days would be structured around your ADRs.

Another vote for regular DDP rather than Deluxe. Honestly, I don't think many people staying at Club Level get good value out of both the DxDDP and CL.

If you have to have a dining plan then I would go with the DDP. DxDP and CL would be overkill.

CL has appetizers in the afternoon/early evening. I would find out more about what is served and the times. Since you are paying for it, you should plan on using it.
