here's a strange one for you all.. went to Costco this past weekend. Purchased a big container of cashews. DH came up with a brilliant suggestion of packing some in vacuum sealed bags to enjoy on verandah while sipping some adult beverages. My question is can you bring nuts onboard without being in their original packaging? Costco's containers are pretty big..lol. Not earth shattering either way, just curious!

I have never tried but never had them check my bag that thoroughly. I would think you could even put them in your checked luggage with them sealed. Disney has way bigger fish to fry, I say go for it! As a side note in the bars they will give you pretzels and/or peanuts to enjoy with your beverages, you just have to ask.

Food taken onboard must be unopened in factory-sealed packaging. Just buy a smaller container of nuts for the cruise. You will need to eat them once opened.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks all for your input! I wasn’t sure if the original packaging thing was just when coming on/off of other ports. Oh the things you think about as the count down gets closer to single digits! Thanks again!

Our last cruise we had trail mix in a ziplock bag. It was in my carry on and they didn’t stop me . I didn’t know there were rules about food having to be in its original packaging . I will know for next time !

I know there are regulations about taking food off the ship (no fruits, vegs, meat, plants, etc) but they didn't stop me from taking opened packages of snacks on the ship. Maybe I got lucky.....
