ah, that first day of camp

the excitement of starting camp this morning...

older dd met up with all her friends from last summer. their trip today was to a fast food/video arcade and also to the IMAX theater at the local aviation museum. she said the IMAX theater was boring. oh, well. the trips should get better from here.

younger dd started in a new camp today, her first year in a travel program. she didn't really know anyone this morning, but by this afternoon she had a whole bunch of new friends. tomorrow they go to the beach. she's looking forward to it.

it's going to be a great summer.

lucky!!! i MISS camp so much! I went to day camp since I was 7, the kind where when you get to a certain age you travel. We went to Disney World and stayed at All Star Music & Sports (two different years) for five days...flew there too. It was awesome, I had such great times, great memories.

I even worked there for two years...I loved the kids, but the pay was horrible. It's a good job for a 14/15 year old though.

the dd's are in two different camps, but they're both in travel programs. younger dd will be going to Baltimore, Hershey and Lake George/Montreal. older dd will be going to Busch Gardens/Colonial Willaimsburg, Massachuseets, the Adirondacks, Philadlephia and Hershey.

older dd is going into 8th grade. the 9th and 10th graders are going to WDW.

Busch Gardens, Paramounts Kings Dominion, Hershey, NYC, Jersey Shore, Dorney Park...the list goes on and on

Disney was by FAR the best trip. Then again, I am a Disney nut...

DS starts at Nature's Classroom next Mon. His first wk's theme is Robotics. First time to this camp. Its for 8-15yr olds. For the past 5yrs he's been at a daycare camp in town.

Taking him to the White Mtns this Thurs-Sun. Sun night will be a rush getting him ready for camp.
