With the threads popping up about the behavior in game and how it seems to be getting worse, I thought I'd take the time to put a little reminder out there.

This is one of those times of year when schools start letting out for summer vacation. When that happens you usually see the not so great behavior happen in a game. Its not just VMK but any online game that people interact with each other. It happens during Winter Break, Spring Break or any other time these kids are off for more then a weekend from school. Sadly I can see it getting worse as more and more schools let out. I suggest kindly reminding all these kids to read the VMK rules and let them know what they are doing is wrong. If it keeps up report. I'm sure there are a few that may not know what the rules are since they probably didn't read them and are just following what they see others doing. They assume its part of the game. Which once they know the rules I bet they would stop. While then we have the others that just don't care what the rules are and have been there for awhile. :sad2: I just those of us that are responsible and follow the rules can do this little bit to help try to keep VMK safe and clean it up as best we can. Which if the report button has to be used for those that don't follow rules and are really bad with the talk then that is what we need to do. We then have to hope that VMK handles things.

*steps off soap box*

Thanks for posting this, this should hopefully help people.

Maybe it would help if VMK put out a quest every day to keep the kids busy, rather than let them run bay.be day care facilities. popcorn::

I think it would for a short time but really I think parents need to give their kids other things to do..Get them into some hobby or something. I'm glad my kids have learned how to act with online games. We have taught them how to play a few different MMOs and they started out with Toontown. Which they still play as well and my 4yr old niece has started playing when here. Its sad when my 9 and 5 yr olds act can follow rules alot better then some teenagers/adults can. Obviously though it was us as parents that showed them how to act and play the games. Other parents just don't do the same and some adults don't know how to act themselves in game. I just hope we remember this stuff though cause it does test us at times when summer comes and more are on the computers then before and for longer periods.
And the idea of VMK doing something like a quest or whatever to maybe keep them distracted isn't a bad idea.

nice thread! i like your idea

Although.. i would really like to know what a soap box is. :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Or is it a figure of speech... :rotfl:

well well - a soap box refers to the early days prior to television or even radio when speakers would go to public parks ("speaker's corners" and the like) and address a group of people about political or religious ideas - things like abolition of slavery, women's right to vote, prohibition - whatever. Well in those days soap was delivered in large boxes about the size of an orange crate, but fairly sturdy. The speakers would stand on the boxes so the public gathered around could see the person talking. Of course someone disagreeing would often shout, "Get off your soap box" and other, more rude, non-VMK friendly expressions (ha ha)

And now you know!

The more and more I look at the bad behavior i remember when i first started to play Neopets ( didn't get into it). I went to the message boards and say those posts where it said like " If you repost this in 10 other threads you will get all the paint brushes" or something like that. Well i did it for like a couple posts before someone messaged me saying that i could get banned. I had no idea that this was bad. I consider this for the new players. Bad influences attack them with taken and they think it is part of the game. So like many of you have said we should remind these players what is wrong to do.
