I'm not usually a fan of America's Got Talent, but there was nothing on tonight so I tuned in. The Fighting Gravity guys?? WOW. They could easily be made into a live Vegas act! Look out Blue Man group and Cirque du So Lame!

OMG...Sharon said the same thing! hehe.

Just tremendous.

We saw a similar act a few months ago on a cruise & my kids have been talking about it every since. These guys were great :thumbsup2

I can't believe some of the acts that went through and ones that didn't. I really liked the young man from Puerto Rico who had the marvelous voice. He was passed over for a hand whistler!!????? Give me a break!!!

I'm wondering if they use the same technology or technic that is used during the Voyage of the Little Mermaid at DHS. That is what it kind of reminds me of - very interesting act though.

They were the best ones on tonight! Can't believe only 4 go through, but if I were choosing 4, it would be that group first, the singer who wasn't feeling well tonight, the tap dancer siblings, and the little boy dancers.

Seriously, the hand whistler?!?!:confused3 Just sad that some great acts got passed up for that!

I'm right with you on my top 4 picks, assuming that guy sings better when he's well. I thought there were a lot of duds, including the underwater painting. She could hold her breath for what - 20 seconds? (I do understand that the painting is not really the talent!)

I like your picks:thumbsup2 As DS and I were watching this tonight I was having a hard time coming up with 4 acts that I wanted to see again. Bad night!

Aw, shoot, I missed it! :( I absolutely LOVED that Fighting Gravity group in the first show; DH and DD did too! I'm glad to hear they got through!

Does anyone know what happened to last year's winner? we were in Vegas and he didn't have a show. Boy, Terry Fator's show was big though! His ads were everywhere!

Did you really? I see them as fun, but I wouldn't pay to go see that in Vegas, would you?

Yes. Yes I would. It would take a lot of lighting, special effects and goofing around by the guys, but I see it as just as entertaining (maybe more so) than a play or a musical.

What did you think of the 4 groups that got through? I disagreed with the sisters--they were OK singers, but got the sympathy vote. The Tap Dancers should have had that spot in my opinion~

Oh, and which kid group got through? TIVO cut Howie off!

I love Fighting Gravity, right now they are my top choice to win AGT. I would definitely pay to see them in Vegas, it's unique and edgy and cool :cool2:

I love Fighting Gravity. As long as they keep up the good/interesting work, I think they definitely have a great shot at winning this year.

I'm one that can't believe they let Airpocalypse through. Air guitar? Headlining act with million dollar contract? But, they are way, way, WAY better than that yodeling woman who played in the second audition for over 10 minutes! I cannot believe they told that one guy that he BARELY went over the 90 seconds and he could and should be disqualified for that, but Piers walked away and Howie had to go onstage and stop her, and they really didn't seem to make as big of a deal about it as they did with the other guy. I think I would have been livid if they had let her go and not him...but if they were letting her through, they HAD to let him through. (Not a complaint over that guy's singing talent, though...I think, while he's not the best one up there, he deserves the opportunity!)

Sometimes, I wonder what they are thinking. And I wonder about the voters. I agree with a PP that the girls seemed to get the sympathy vote.

So... Results...

1. Nathaniel Kenyon
2. Fighting Gravity
3. Christina and Ali – Cystic Fibrosis
4. Future Funk

I disagree with ALL of those except Fighting Gravity.

Nathaniel Kenyon wouldn't have made it past round 1 on Idol. That was some of the most unpleasant singing I've ever heard.

Christina and Ali? Show me any human willing to pay to see those two sing in Vegas. They weren't even good. Just cute with a sob story.

Future Funk. See above. Just cute, but not all that.
