Agonizing over stroller! Mac Triumph or Quest?

I have a 13 mos old who weighs roughly 30 lbs and is SUPER active. She doesn't like to sit still for very long at all. So with that said when she is confined to the stroller I want her to be comfy. I do expect the occasional nap in it.

My history has been that my large 1 year olds :) level out in the years following. My son took 3 more years to get to 35 lbs. So, though she is large/dense/heavy now I don't expect her to 'outgrow' her stroller and this will be our last one until she is done using them.

Background: We will be flying and staying at POP, so there will be no carseat, rental car, etc. We will be depending on WDW transportation. I like the carrying strap on the Triumph. Is the carrying handle cumbersome on the Quest? Picture one person carrying the large child and the other carrying the stroller. :)

Also I've read mixed reviews about the tipping over of the Macs when they have a diaper bag on them. I plan on buying one of the Mac organizers. Will that help 'balance' things out some?

Any advice for those with experience is much appreciated! I am looking at year old models on Ebay so really the cost difference is only $20-30.

Thanks in advance!

13 more days until our first family trip to WDW!

Me, hubby, dd (12), ds (7), dd (1) :)

I'd go with the Quest. It reclines further and has some storage in the hood. I bought a Techno XT (the next model above Quest) to get the suspension in the wheels, but a Quest would have been my second choice.

First of all, thank you for your response!

I wasn't aware that it had storage in the hood. Would you still recommend getting the Mac universal organizer? Is the storage sufficient?

Quest because it has an adjustable legrest. In the Triumph, her little legs will just dangle, which works for some kids but can be uncomfy for others.

The Mac organizer won't help with the tippy nature of the stroller. The only thing that will help is putting weights over the front wheels, which also wears down the front wheels more quickly.

For someone responsible for only the stroller, they'll probably never touch the carry handle on the Quest. The strap on the Triumph is handy for someone handling a child, stroller and diaper bag on their own. I bought a strap from Combi and put it on my Quest but rarely use it, honestly.

You may want to consider an extra sunshade or light blanket, too (and a hat and lots of sunscreen), as neither of these Macs have much sun protection, especially for sleeping babe.

I agonized over the same decision. I took DD (she was 13 months at the time) to Babies R Us and let her sit in both. She got so excited when she sat in the Triumph - swinging her legs, clapping, but no response when we put her in the Quest. I was leaning towards the Quest, but DH said get the one she likes. So, I then ordered a Triumph off of ebay. She loves, loves to ride it in.

Do you have a store nearby that you could test drive?

Oh, and I agree with PP that you need an extra sun shade.

Thanks again for the replies!

Now I've come across another stroller, the Silver Cross Micro. Oh the agony in deciding. LOL Can I tell you how difficult of a time I have choosing items off a menu also?! :rolleyes1

Does anyone have experience with this stroller? It is on closeout at mystrollers.com for $90, so once again I found a comparable stroller for a comparable price I think.
