Hello! We are planning a December trip and would like to play the Agent P game in Epcot. What I would like to do is stop and get the app (or whatever it is) as we enter the World Showcase from future world. I would like to then get on a boat to Germany, walk to Italy for a lunch reservation, then play after lunch. I don't want to have to go all the way back to the Agent P booth after lunch. Will the app still work after being idle for 1-1.5 hours? I remember last time, when we used their phones it would time out, or kick us off if we waited too long. TIA :)

*****UPDATE-I somehow missed that I could sign up in Italy! Yay! However, I cannot figure out how to delete my question :0

I just wanted to let you know that at least half the time the Italy location isn't open, especially during lower crowd times (depending on if you'll be there early or late Dec). If you're planning to just get the app and use your own phone, I would do that as you enter WS. If you're using their phone, almost certainly it will not work after that long, at least in my experience, unless you constantly click buttons (replay, back, etc.) to keep it active. There is another location by the entrance from the International Gateway (between England and France) that would be closer than going back to the FW entrance if you do need to do that.

Great information!! Thank you! We are going Dec.13-20. So, the app loaded onto your own phone will not time out or does it just last longer? I am thinking I will talk to the CMs at the booth upon entering the World Showcase about the Italy booth. I would like to use their phones, if they are reliable enough. Also, do you know if you can use an ipad? Last time we were all trying to look at the little screen. I think a tablet would be better to see.

Sad to hear they have cut the Italy cart for low season. It was always staffed when I was apart of the department. That and the new 6pm closing makes me wonder how much longer they will keep the attraction running.

This leads me to yet another question...does the booth between England and France stay open regardless of crowds?

It should. That location should always have 2 cast members working it. Italy is also supposed to have 1 during operating hours. Basically if the flaps are up and you can see the computers on the cart then there should be a CM there. Some wander and make themselves hidden at the Italy cart so they don't have to work.

When we were there in June we checked in at the booth by the IG. The CM had me enter the game through a website on my phone (so no app). We had a fast pass in Future World and ate dinner before we started playing the game. I just kept the tab on my phone open and it was not a problem at all. I think we only started playing about an hour after we first signed up at the booth. We had a lot of fun playing and will definitely play again in the future.

I've never seen that one closed due to crowds (or lack thereof) but will say lately I've seen all 3 booths closed when it was even slightly "iffy" weather (distant thunder for example). I was there last week around 3pm and tried all 3 locations without success. And it never actually even did more than sprinkle lightly. As others said, I think they're doing their best to start phasing this out, both in terms of hours and staffing.

I have always used their phones due to battery life concerns so have never tried using the website, but from what I've read on the boards, once you get started on your own phone you can just do it whenever you want. I am fairly confident you can use an Ipod or Ipad as well, as long as the wifi connection there works for you (which definitely isn't 100% of the time). They do have new, larger phones that if you ask for they can give you (about the size of the Apple 6+, or maybe even a bit larger than that). The big problem I've had is being able to see the screens in the bright sunlight, and apparently brightness isn't something they're allowed or able to adjust.

The weather is a safety call. So if there is lightning within a certain radius of an outdoor attraction it automatically goes down. It may never storm at that specific location but for safety they try to discourage outside attractions.
