I called Disney recently and asked this precise question and this is the reponse I got :"Of course! You are made to sign a sworn affidavit stating that your child is under the age of three!" I said "Seriously?" and he bust out laughing and said "NO!!!! You say the child is 2, they're two. And that's if you're even asked. End of discussion. They don't police the admission lines. Have a great trip!"
I have seen and heard CM's ask the age of a child.
I have not seen anyone ask for a birth certificate, but a CM can and may ask the age.
A friend of mine is a CM and told of a child who was asked their age as the child had on a birthday pin. The child answered "at Disney I am 2 but at home I am 3"
