Hi everyone: I was wondering if it is possible for adults to order from the children's menu at Disney restaurants? I just ask because I'm not a big eater, and I hate to waste food. Also, I am a picky eater and I find the kid's menu usually plainer and the portion sizes seem perfect for me.

Thanks!

Not a problem at all! They will not give you a Children's Menu, so when you check-in ask the CM for the kid's menu. At the Counter Service's not a problem either. Only thing, please keep in mind if you are on the WDW free dining plan, you are paying for the adult $$ - no refunds.

Thanks! We won't be doing the DDP, and its nice to know that I can get a small portion size!

At CS, I got several child's meals during our last visit. I have a weight problem and always look for smaller portions.

At CS places you can order kids meals. Most TS restaurants will not let an adult order a kids meal. If you prefer the kids items, most places will give you an "adult" size portion and charge you an adult price. But since you are paying oop, you can just get an app for your meal.

I'm an adult and have ordered kid's meals many times at TS restaurants. We do not do dining plan and I've never been told I couldn't buy a kid's meal.

I am glad that you have been able to do that, but we did not have the same experience this past trip Dec 19-29. Maybe going at such a busy time makes the servers and/or restaurants less willing. I don't really know.
My DD16, who looks much younger, is very picky and eats very small portions even of thins she likes. Durring or visit, we at at least one table service every day. Each time, we would specifically ask if DD16 could order a kids meal. We were not on The dining plan, but only the Brown Derby allowed her to order a kids meal. Everywhere else would allow here to have the kids food, but at adult portions and price. Most places she ended up sharing with us instead of ordering.
