Ok, I know it says 3 - 9 for child pricing, but my question is.....when is the 9 up (meaning is it until their ninth birthday, or until the day before they turn 10?) thanks

Tickets are priced "Guest 3-9 or Guest 10+. Once a child turns three they requre a 3-9 ticket and when they turn 10 they require a 10+ ticket.
So Guest 3-9 ticket is good through the age of nine up until the 10th birthday. Also if they don't use the entire ticket but have used at least one day prior turning 10 Disney will conver the remainder to a Guest 10+ free of charge. The child must be present and the dates of prior use must make sense.
My daughter was just asking me that question, regarding her daughter who will turn 3 at the end of the week they are planning on being there. She did not know whether she needed to purchase a ticket or not. So, I guess from the above answer that she would need to purchase a ticket for 1 day then.

I think they go by the age at the start of the vacation. I understood it to be that if your child is age 2 on day 1, then you don't need a ticket it they turn 3 on the last day of the trip. Also, if you have a 3-9 ticket and the child turns 10 during your visit, you don't need to upgrade.
we got to disney the day of my daughters 10th birthday and asked and they said it was fine to use the myw pass for her, since we booked the trip while she was 9. it was included in the ressies that she turned 10 the day we checked in.................no one cared! Even in the resturants they ask you how many children they dont ask ages
With the child pricing, my son will turn 10 a week after we return, and for one he is 2 inches shorter than i am. Would they ask for verification that he was really 9? Being that he is 9 years old, and happens to be 5'2'', and looks more like jr high kid rather than a 4th grader?
