? again about hauling golf cart

Getting back to the OP's comments, if the golf cart was such a large consideration in the RV purchase (it is for us, too), why didn't you just get a toy hauler or a travel trailer? We have a TT but the golf cart fits nicely in the bed of my truck. Our next purchase is going to be a toy hauler but that's a little ways down the road.

We have a 34' TT and we are looking for a cart right now. What type of ramp do you use to get it into the truck? How long is it? How hard is it to get it in and out. Just wondering.

Lawn mower/atv ramps, drive it right in. If you have a 6' bed truck you will have to leave the tailgate down, truck bed is too short but 8' bed you can take off the tailgate so the weight of the cart doesn't bend the tailgate hinges over time.

Just remember you can put on MT 35" boggers and still get it into the bed. :rotfl2: :lmao:

I have a 6' bed and strap the tailgate up at an angle using cargo straps so the cart won't roll out. This pushes the tailgate tight against the tires of the golf cart (my rear seat foot rest folds up). I also strap the cart down with cargo straps, but I like having the tailgate as a back-up to make sure the cart stays in place.

How do you keep the cart from rolling out if you take the tailgate off?

The back of my truck had two hooks on each side of the bed, then I would use a ratcheting strap across the back of the cart:thumbsup2 not going anywhere

That's the same way I strap mine down using the ratcheting type cargo straps. I guess I'm a belt and suspenders type of guy.

I take the support cables that hold the tailgate and loop them around the locking "knobs" on the truck. You know the knobs that keep the tailgate locked to the truck's bed. It leaves the tailgate in a nearly perfect 45 degree position. The tailgate doesn't hit the golf cart and doesn't come close to the TT hitch or jack handle.
