AG Doll Clothes ?

I didn't think dd was heading down this road yet, but she changed her mind....for Christmas she is getting an AG doll, Disney Princess & Me Tiana, and a My Disney Girl doll. (Since this is the budget board, I have to brag a bit on my bargains....I got the AG doll at a consignment store, Tiana for 20% off, and a lot of 2 My Disney girl dolls + princess outfits on Ebay)

Does anyone have any experience with the clothes from Target, Michaels, Joanns or AC Moore that fit the 18" dolls? Which have you tried and will they all fit? It would be great if the clothes from Michaels, Joanns, or AC Moore fit, as I could use 40% or 50% off coupons.

If the Tiana is the new Princess and Me doll, I have found that the AG clothes don't fit them well. The AG dolls are a little fatter, if you know what I mean, so they look big on Sleeping Beauty. I haven't tried Sleeping Beauty's dress on an AG doll yet. So, keep width in mind when shopping.

As for clothes, I have not purchased them myself. But, I'm not sure all clothes will fit all dolls right.

The Our Generation girl clothes from target fit the AG dolls nicely. My 12 year old got an AG doll a few years ago and the clothes from Target are the ones we mainly used. I can't help on the other dolls though.

I can't help on the Disney Girl doll (kudos on the buy, though!) but I have heard that the Disney Princess dolls are much slimmer than the AG dolls. They certainly appear that way to me but we don't have any of the princesses to compare. I can tell you, if you would like matching outfits for your DD and her doll, that Dolly and Me clothing fits the AG dolls well. DD has a really cute dress set by that line - she and Felicity wore their dresses to AG and people kept stopping us to ask where we found it because they couldn't find them in the store We got ours on sale for $30 at Kohl's and Penny's also has a line that is that price range (on sale.) DD is 8 and loves to dress like her dolls (or....would it be dress her dolls like her )

Thanks everyone for all this helpful info. Yes, Tiana is the Princess & Me...had a brain freeze on the correct name! I will check Target and I may just have to try some of the outfits from Michaels/AC Moore/Joanns and see how they fit.

Thanks for the info on the Dolly & Me outfits. DD wants one of those also. I will try Kohls.
