AG 2010 doll - spoiler

Not sure if anyone is interested by my DDs count the days until the 2010 Americam Girl Doll of the Year is revealed. DD wakes up first thing New Year's Day and hit the computer. It is quite exciting.

Well, last night we were in Barnes & Noble and to our surprise there is a rack with the 2010 Doll of the Year Books.

Lanie is her name and she loves Nature.
Thank was all we learned because we wanted to save some of the details as a surprise.

I didn't even know it was soposed to be a secret until Jan 1. My dd got her American Girl magazine 3 days ago and there's a big story about Lanie. DD was very excited because she has a friend named Lanie that looks similiar to the doll.

QVC won't be having any AG specials until fall. I got a gift cert for QVC for Christmas & I'm saving it towards Lanie. I suspect there will be a Lanie package sometime then. At least, I'm hoping she'll be available & on easy pay too! Hmmmmm. Don't want too much, do I???

I don't know why I hadn't thought about Googling the new doll for 2010. My girls were asking me about this yesterday. I love her! I know that my girls will too. I love that they are marketing Lanie in conjunction with the National Wildlife Federation.
