Afterthoughts on my May trip

I have just a few afterthoughts on my May trip that I figured I'd share with everyone.

Flower & Garden Festival--I really enjoy this event at Epcot. I'm not really a flower and Garden type of person, but I sure do love looking at the toparies that are all over the place at Epcot during the festival. I've been down in May three times, and this was the first time I caught a Flower Power Concert. It's fun seeing old bands for free at Epcot :)

DVC--This was my first trip home to the Boardwalk since buying DVC points. Buying DVC is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I always thought that DVC was really expensive (and it is when you look at the initial investment), but when you do the math over the length of the contract, it ends up being an incredible deal. It's nice to know that I have a place to stay that I can afford, especially now that the AP and code rates aren't as good as they were the past few years. I'm really looking at DVC as a way to stay at a higher level of resort for less than the price of rack rate at a value resort. I thought I would hate not having daily maid service, but when I got there, it didn't mind at all. I just wish I made the decision to by DVC years ago.

FL Tours--I've used FL Tours the past several trips to Disney World, and have nothing but good things to say about the service. The drivers are all courteous and friendly, and the cars are immaculate. I will definitely use FL Tours again on future trips.

Jellyrolls--OK, so I probably said more than enough about Jellyrolls in my daily reports, but how can I not mention it in my afterthoughts, too? You all know how much I love my bar. I have always had a blast at Jellyrolls. The piano players are fantastic (especially my beloved Scotty and Ray), and the servers, bouncers, bartenders, and rest of the staff are all so welcoming and friendly. It's worth every penny of the $8 cover charge.

I can't wait to get back to Disney again in November/December.

I've really enjoyed reading all of your trip report posts from your May trip. I hope to get to Jellyrolls on my next trip after reading your posts about it!

Lisa, if you make it to Jellyrolls, be sure to tell Scotty that I sent you :)

Karen--when are you going to be there?? We will be at Boardwalk Deluxe Concierge Nov 27th-Dec 4th and have talked about going to Jellyrolls. Maybe we could meet!!

SFBank, I will be there Nov. 29-Dec. 5th. Right now, I am planning on having my third annual December Jellryolls meet on Friday, Dec. 2nd.

I will also be staying at the Boardwalk (on the villas side).

Is it Dec. yet???? Let's see 5 months, 3 weeks, 2 days...

Count us in!! We are going to MGM to see the Osborne Lights but then will be back on the Boardwalk. We'll get dd to the Beach Club Kids Club and join in the fun!! I know it is early but I am excited. Once it gets closer we'll have to arrange a time to meet. Thanks!

Sounds like a plan, sfbank! The Jellyrolls meets are always a blast!
