Just wanted to give you all a heads up about the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian ~ we treated my parents to this during the first week of our hol (landed home on Saturday :-( ) - did not tell them though that we got off 20% with the dining experience card.
It was fantastic the four adults all had the 'Buckingham Palace Tea' and if memory serves me right it was $17.95 before discount, we jad just a small snack at lunch to save room for all the goodies, it was fantastc value for money we got 6 triangles of sandwiches (each with a different filling and each one more fantastic than the one before) with a melt in your mouth onion tartlet. This was followed by homemade scones, with cream and jam of course and home made jam tarts, and then by either 2 pastries of English trifle and a huge pot of tea - and just let me say this was the best American made tea that I have ever tasted!!!!
We are certainly going back next year - they were really good with the boys as well, who don't drink tea!!! but they had soft drinks and cakes.
The setting was fantastic and we would all highly recommend it as a respite from the parks for an hour or so.
