I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question but I was looking at the menu for this tea and wondered if you "have" to start with one of their "combos" (for lack of a better term) and then add on the ala carte items or if you can simply order things all seperately ala carte?

You can order a la carte. You don't have to order one of their combos. I would like to add, though, that their Grand Tea was not only delicious, but completely filling as a lunch. I went in July with our "Swan/Dolphin" sorority and our daughters and many of ordered the Grand Tea and could not finish it. We all gave it rave reviews!

I always order ala carte, as does my DH.

Don't forget to buy some of the tea before you leave!! I bought both the cinnamon spice and the Garden View blend. A little goes along way.

My daughter treated me for the first time to the Grand Tea. It was absolutely perfect. We each picked out our favorite tea. I had the Cinnamon spice which was Christmasy and delicious and my dd had a mix. We had champagne (elegantly served). They brought a variety of sandwiches, tart , pate which was much better than I expected, scones with devonshire cream and then dd had strawberries with cream and I got to pick out 2 desserts from the cart. I chose a swan and a little tart with a tiny , perfect gingerbread man. This was sooooo much fun. I would always want the grand tea!
