Afternoon tea at Grand Floridian

For those of you who have gone to afternoon tea, have any of you gone with your DH or boyfriends? I'm thinking of making a PS since I've heard so many good things but I don't want to make my boyfriend uncomfortable We've had afternoon tea before (not at Disney) but gone with another couple so I know he'll be okay with the food. I'm just worried about the atmosphere... Anyone have any comments or suggestions?

My husband and 10 year old daughter came with me and both had a great time. My husband ordered coffee and the cheese plate. They are going to go with me again this year. I loved it!

I'm not sure if my husband would enjoy this as much as I do, but he does like coffee. HMMMMMM, may have to try this on our next, as yet unplanned , trip.

I did go in Nov 2002, and really love the fruit and cheese platter. I cannot speak highly enough about it. It was huge, I shared this and my sister, she ordered the sandwiches. These are all from the Ala Carte menu, we drank diet soda, our mother and aunt had the tea. My sister said if we go back she will ask for a teacup for her soda . I would order the scones to compliment the fruit/cheese platter instead of the sandwiches, while they were good, the scones were better.

The trifle is very good as a desert choice. Not as pretty as the pastries, but a very generous serving, perfect for sharing.
