Once it is in your signature, it is in your signature everywhere, even in old posts. At least I think that is how it works.

Carol is right. Just go into UserCP, click on edit signature and then click on insert image and paste it into your signature. It's there until you take it out.

People like to keep those tickers forever. I can't count the number of times I've seen a ticker that says 2 years 9 months 3 weeks and 6 days since our vacation. I think you have to let go eventually.
