did you have luck calling one week or less before your trip to get 2 days together at the same resort?

In 2005, we booked BW view for an 11 night stay during the F&W at about 6 months out but could not get our first night, which was Columbus Day. That night we booked in PV. We WL'd that night with no luck, then called everyday during the last 7 days and finally got it the VERY LAST DAY that MS was open. When MS told me it was available, I think I screamed out loud! Of course, since the point values are exaclty the same, this change was not a big deal. My points for the PV went into holding but then were used to book the night in BW view.

In 2007, we had SV for all except the first night, but it never came thru. Our back-up was PV (which was upgraded at check-in to BW view!), but it meant we had to check-out and move the next day to our SV.

We just had experience with this...We had waitlisted 2 weeks out for ANYTHING/anywhere, & ended up with a 1 BR @ SSR a couple of days later. So then my husband calls a few days ago (within the 7 day mark) & manages to get us a studio instead & then proceeds to get an extra night in a SV @ the BWV with the points we saved! I love that man!!
